Nice. If it was black multicam, I would get it off you.

Im looking into picking up a second pc in black multicam. Trying to decide between a jpc2 or the spiritus lv119.

@esstac- does the new version of the Daeodon still have the same stretch panel in the rear for adjustability? Have an idea for my ideal cummerbund.

Slick Rick,

Are you missing not having any velcro on the front, back and any other attachment points?  I'd love to have velcro for patches and other attachments, but then I'd end up making it into a 6094 with a lot of stuff on there.

If I get one. might have find a way to fix, the way those shoulder straps ride overlapped like that on the front, it's not slick enough for me.

Might not be a bad PC for me to try out, where did you get it and what did it cost, are you happy with it?

BTW what size plates are those. just what I need since XL swimmer look very tiny on me

This is for wear underneath clothing, not for mounting gear to, covert is key. This photo is their swimmer specific carrier holding 10x12 plates. I ordered this one from OP Tactical.

Thank you! It's the standard JPC 2.0 cummerbund. What I've done differently is run the slick backing/female Velcro panel on the backside of my Spiritus Chest Rig but use the AXL Advanced Chest Rig Retainer on my cummerbund to maintain tension on the chest rig against my plate carrier. The net is I reduce the wear and tear of the Velcro that the back of the Chest Rig normally interfaces with on the cummerbund ends (and doesn't really have a full purchase on anyway due to the don/doff handles), can still remove and insert magazines easily without the chest rig moving around (I was pleasantly surprised this worked!), and can easily swap my chest rig over to the Spiritus straps without having to remove buckles, etc. I mean, it's not as cool as tubes, but it was a nice in-between compromise IMO.

Pros
Back of chest rig doesn't stick to everything
Less wear and tear on the female Velcro face of the cummerbund ends
Chest rig stays in place better than it does by just Velcro alone--especially since the entire surface area isn't fully utilized

Cons
Need to unclip four buckles before you pull the straps on your cummerbund to exit the plate carrier--making it slightly more complicated to remove under duress

Thought I'd share an interesting observation I made while doing some back-and-forth with a custom gear manufacturer. I am basically trying to get something similar to the Shaw Concepts ARC Placard V2 made in AOR2. I have an Eagle MMAC and an LBT 6094 that I removed the front flaps from and I'd like to just be able to slap a placard on the front.

Key request:

Placard that allows me to run 3 mags with Esstac Kydex inserts, secures a TQ on the bottom and allows Tubes to direct connect to the placard.

Observation:

By converting to the above, you are essentially deleting up to 8-11 layers of material (once you account for the layers added back by the placard):

- Hook side Velcro on body side of LBT-6094 front flap
- Inner Cordura layer of front flap of LBT-6094
- Loop side Velcro on interior of LBT-6094 kangaroo pouch
- Hook side Velcro on interior of LBT-6094 kangaroo pouch
- Outer Cordura layer of front flap of LBT-6094
- PALS loops on exterior of front flap of LBT-6094
- Hook side Velcro on the interior side of the First Spear Tubes male attachment panel
- Inner Cordura layer of First Spear Tubes male attachment panel
- Outer Cordura layer of First Spear Tubes male attachment panel
- Outer facing loop side Velcro on First Spear male attachment panel
- Hook side Velcro for TQ holder (normally inserted under front flap of LBT-6094)
- Inner backing layer for TQ holder (normally inserted under front flap of LBT-6094)
- Outer backing layer for TQ holder (normally inserted under front flap of LBT-6094)
- Loop side Velcro for TQ holder (normally inserted under front flap of MMAC)

That is a lot of material!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hoping to get some help on plate sizing.

I’m 6’1”, 41 inch chest, 10” nip to nip, and 17” notch to top of belly button standing.

I have Hesco L210 10x12’s in a medium AC1, but I’m wondering if I should have gone with a Large AC1 and Large SAPI’a (10.25x13.25)?

Medium is kinda the best for a large amount.of folks. That looks like it fits fine and still allows dexterity.

Thank you!  Figured maybe the Medium SAPI would be good…would be giving up a half inch width to get a half inch length.  Not sure which would be better.

Now it’s whether I do the RMA 1092’s or Hesco 3810’s?

Any opinions?  The cost difference is ginormous!

I think T. Rex Arms has the best sale on L210’s right now.  $280-$290, IIRC.

I’ll check out the M210.

Seriously entertaining snagging the M or L SAPI Hesco 3810’s or the RMA 1092/1093…I just haven’t been able to confirm if the RMA 1093 will fit in a Large AC1.

Still contemplating a Large SAPI over the Medium SAPI or 10x12.

Their QD works better than others, and you can use a lot of different plates, it has retaining straps inside to allow this.

Yes, they are not cheap, but I don’t feel I have overspent compared to the others out there.

Ive got my ole issued LBT 6094 and I also have a Ferro slickster but the k19 has by far been the best PC Ive ever owned when it comes to all day comfort and just quality stitching and modularity.

In the Black Friday thread, Esstac just said they will beat any advertised deal on armor they carry.

Aren't the L210s all single curve?  That's why I like the M210, basically the same but with triple curve?

Yeah, looking at them now.  I do like the idea of a multicurve L210…for less than the price of the M210 you can get the RMA 1091-1093 series.

I probably need to read up more on RMA…really unclear why their III+ is nearly half the price if the 3810’s?!

It, like anything else, has to do with the point of diminishing returns. It may not seem like a lot, but the rma's come in about .2" thicker. While seemingly small it IS a 20% increase in thickness over the hesco and some modern carriers only fit up to 1" thick plates.

Yeah, they're very thick and you'll notice it when trying to get behind a rifle. It's not ideal.

That said, for the money you'll be hard pressed to do better. They're light, fit well, and stop the threats they're rated for. RMA is good to go in my book.

Absolutely, RMA is top notch in every way.  I would go with their 1092/3 over the 3810s.
