Might as well toss mine into the mix.

It's a Windham Weaponry, almost completely stock with the exception of having one of those little 'gappers' installed. Love those things.
5.56, m4 feedramps, M16 BCG, standard stuff, really.

This summer, When Brownells releases their repro retro a1 furniture, I'll be getting a pistol grip and handguard set to pop on it. Love those triangular handguards.

I'm guessing a filler between the grip and trigger guard, or an Accu-wedge.

Very nice.

In that configuration with that optic. how much does it weigh? I've wanted to build a modern 20", probably a different rail but similar in weight.

Correct, a Gapper is a rubber plug that fills in the space between the winter trigger guard and the pistol grip.

I kept getting these odd calluses on my middle finger until I installed one on my service match rifle.

Sorry it took so long to reply .

If it stays reliable, a bolt release relocator is handy.

Edit: Alexfiggy has what I consider a proper modern service rifle that could actually do double duty.

I added the a5 buffer system and stock since I took this pic. this is what she can do at a100 yards with my loads .

I know it looks gross, but I don't have a spare normal A2 lower and my buffer tube for fixed stock hasn't shipped.

I can't decide whether to do an A2 build first or buy an ACOG for my A4.  I definitely need both though

You do.
You need both.

They are our heritage, part of the history of our great military.
Look, I tried selling the ones I had at several points in my life.
By God, I had to freaking re-purchase them (different ones) or re-build, every time (and every time, I did a little better, built them a little more accurate, better looking, etc.)

Can't be without 'em A2s and A4s.

Yep. Every US citizen with an established small arms collection should have an A4, A2/A3, M14, M1 Garand, and M1903 Springfield. I'd go back further in history but that's all I can afford.

Sir!!!

Agree 100%.
I went back to the 1770s, and got me a 'British musket stolen from the dead Brits' (or two)

(These are fine Pedersoli Replicas, could not afford real one)
