M4 PICTURE THREAD RESURRECTION PART 1

Alright guys, somehow you all stopped posting in the last one and it died. So I'm starting a new one cause I need ideas for an M4! Come on, post your pics!! 16", 14.5", 14.7" its all good (as long as it has an M4 profile barrel!!) Let's see em!!

ETA: Insight on accessories, lights, rails, optics, parts MFGs, etc are greatly appreciated.

For instance, tell me if you like the EOTech or Aimpoint better and why. I've only had experience with the Aimpoint and LOVED it.

ETA2: Make sure you list all the parts that makes up your M4 Carbine as well

ETA: Before posting picture, make sure your rifle is an M4 (M4 PROFILE BARREL W/ M203 CUT). If your rifle is not an M4, take it to the Picture Thread, please.

Starting Part 2 off right:

That being said, for "clone" specs for a standard M4 MWS would be the A2 comp (flash suppressor) - either on an SBR, a 14.7" barrel, or with a spacer and/or extended version.

For a SOPMOD M4 (which would be what the "SOCOM" profile barrel would be most appropriate for) it could be the A2 comp, the KAC M4QD comp, or the Surefire FH-556-RC.

For stocks, the "standards" would be the Colt CAR, M4 stock, or Gen. I SOPMOD.

Of course there have been a lot of variations, individually and unit purchased, but these are the "standards."

The "Standard Issue M4" thread, the "SOPMOD M4" thread, and the "Block II" threads will have lots more specific photos and information.

Thanks Augee! Always helpful.  I figured I'd ask rather than scour the multiple hundreds of pages! I knew you'd show up eventually! Cheers.  Mac

14.5" 14.7" socom barrel. I have a B5 stock and thorntail light mount on the way, then this rifle is done. I actually find this rifle with my ACOG TA01 on top is the perfect do-all carbine setup, but the aimpoint is on 90% of the time for hd duty.

Don't remember if I've posted in this thread or not...

When I first assembled it

Got froggy, so I hit it with a lil rustoleum

BCM 14.5" M4 upper
BCM BCG
Centurion C4 carbine cutout FF rail
Griffin Armament M4SDii flash comp (pinned)
Raptor charging handle
DD 1.5 rear sight
Primary Arms Micro RDS w/ Seekins absolute co-witness mount
Noveske Gen 2 lower
B5 enhanced sopmod stock
Tango Down QD stubby vfg
Larue Apeg grip
Inforce WML multi-function light
VTAC padded 2 point sling

Going to add an Aimpoint T-1 at some point... But the disease struck again, so the PA will do for now, as funds get dumped into my "Recce" build

Runs like a sewing machine, and shoots as soft as a kitten!!! I've sold other guns before... But this one will stay with me until I die!!!

After having a "Modular Carbine" I just went back to the M4 platform. New Sabre Defense barrel and CMMG BCG since I'm having problems with the old barrel.

Debating on getting a set of KAC M4 RAS or MI Gen 2 drop-in rails. I really like the standard HG's, but they leave a lot to desire on putting a weapon light on.

Yes, I know it needs a sling too. Blue Force NSN sling on order for next week.

if all you want is a light mount, magpul MOE handguards are cheap, comfortable, and easy to add lights to.  or you could probably use one of their rail sections on your standard handguards with a little work

It's the Midwest Industries extended carbine rail in FDE. Yes it uses the stock barrel nut. I cut off the delta ring with a dremel tool.

Thanks! Although I ended up buying a set of MI gen2 drop-ins at the LGS 2 days ago.

Here she is now at the range. Making sure the HG switch didn't cause a major POI change. Can keep them all in the black at 100 yards when rapid firing in prone, so we're GTG.

ETA: Note the ripples in the sand caused by the A2 flash suppressor.

Brownell's has them and Midway lists them, but are out of stock - they're the John Masen recoil pads.

I got mine second-hand, however.

Getting closer. Trying to keep this as basic as I can but had to go with skinny hand guards and MOE grip. Picked up the carry handle off the EE and just got the M4 stock from BCM and will be done once I get the Colt side sling mount.
