Alright guys, somehow you all stopped posting in the last one and it died. So I'm starting a new one cause I need ideas for an M4! Come on, post your pics!! 16", 14.5", 14.7" its all good (as long as it has an M4 profile barrel!!) Let's see em!!

ETA: Insight on accessories, lights, rails, optics, parts MFGs, etc are greatly appreciated.

For instance, tell me if you like the EOTech or Aimpoint better and why. I've only had experience with the Aimpoint and LOVED it.

ETA2: Make sure you list all the parts that makes up your M4 Carbine as well

ETA: Before posting picture, make sure your rifle is an M4 (M4 PROFILE BARREL W/ M203 CUT). If your rifle is not an M4, take it to the Picture Thread, please.

Since I just got a new Digital Cam, and I was goofing off with it today, here you go:

As I said, I was just goofing around with it.

And just for grins, My G21:

I didn't even see the holster fuzz until I downloaded the pics. This camera is amazing.

For those who care, it's a Kodak Z612. And it was my Christmas present to myself. When I get some time I am going to setup a gallery of my weapons and gear.

This is a BETA version build to see how well I'd like the M4\A1 KISS build. Mostly Colt parts as you see it here. I like it a lot and am working on a less expensive version for a truck gun. Most of the parts you see here will be reused on a more standard A3 upper with an Eotech build.

This is an older photo, but the ones pictured have not changed.  The center AR15 is my bushy Patrolman's carbine.  It now sports an Eotech, YHM lightweight rail, TD foregrip, Surefire, and a rubber buttstock pad because without it I found the stock digs in to my shoulder and hurts.  Its also got an Ergo Grip.
The M4 is my Go-To gun, and I want to build another M4, along with a middy.

Old photo, now has tan Aimpoint cover.- love the Aimpoint, by the way and REALLY love that Larue mount!  And the PRI front/Troy rear buis combo is a much liked combo that I have now on two AR's.  I have no desire to change a thing on it.  For me, it is truly finished.

Here's my LMT Defender 2000 16" barrel and how I put it together and improved it, oldest pics first, latest pic last.

I got my upper half first with LMT BUIS, LMT M16 BCG, LMT CH, Aimpoint M2 with KAC straight high mount, KAC M4 RAS rails, KAC VFG, TangoDown panels and Magpul ladder covers and I temporarily put it on my Colt 6721 lower half with Magpul MIAD, trigger guard, Vltor CAR Modstock group (with rubber buttpad) and Specter Gear mag pouch.

Next I got my LMT lower half with factory TangoDown Battlegrip, LMT M4 5 position buttstock (they now come with 6 pos) and I installed Midwest Industries FSB light mount also Specter Gear single point sling.

Next I installed my Vltor modstock and MIAD grip from my 6721 carbine also replaced the selector with Stag Arms ambi, added Surefire G2 with Z32 shock isolated bezel, Z49 clicker tail cap and Daniel Defense offset light mount.
I also got a set of 15 D&H teflon finished 30 rd mags with Magpul followers and Ranger plates.

Then I added a EOTech 551 because I prefer it to my Aimpoint for close quarter - home defense which is what is the main role of my M4.

Next I removed and replaced my LMT BUIS with KAC 300m folding BUIS to make my field of view less busy, it has an absolute co-witness with the EOTech without mount.

The only bayonet that would work on a 16" barreled CAR is an extended handle bayonet, shown is my General Cutlery extended M7.
Ref. Upper rifle is my all Colt parts M16A2 clone with Ontario OKC3S Marine bayonet with IDF sling.

LMT Defender 2000 16" barrel
MI FSB rail
KAC M4 RAS rails
KAC VFG
KAC 300m BUIS
LMT M16 BCG & CH
Stag Arms ambi selector
KNS pins
Magpul MIAD grip, ladder rail covers, mag followers & Ranger plates
Vltor CAR Modstock & rubber buttpad
Surefire G2 light with Z32 SI bezel, Z49 clicker T/C
DD offset light mount
Specter Gear single point sling & mag pouch

It will never get done my next improvement plan is a LaRue EOTech mount.

ETA: Added Magpul to my components list.

How are you attaching the front point of your sling? I just ordered a couple of IDF slings and was wondering what others were doing to attach to the front ie: location, etc. Looks good by the way!

I loop it through the sling attachment and all around the back of the front sight base.  It keeps the sling swivel quiet and tensioned while giving the weapon a slightly side mounted attachment point.  Some people say you can melt the paracord, but I've never had that problem since I don't do mindless mag dumps one after another.

Others tie it directly to the Front sight tower, but I can't stand having crap in my sight picture.  I can get you a better pic with the sling unclipped if you want.

Well, mine's kinda an M4

Stag lower, DPMS parts kit, 16" HBAR (no need for an M203, so no cut), A2 handguards (prefer 'em to the M4s). Only thing I plan on changing are the stock (CAA), flash hider (Phantom), and red dot mount (raise it 1/2").
