The ALG rail from East is the closest thing to CWAR spec on my rifle.

No clue. I don't own a postal scale.

I'm trying to find a LW bolt carrier to use with my KAC bolt. And debating having my SR15 barrel dimpled.

Boomfab, or JP has an aluminum carrier out now.  Dimpling saves you about an ounce, if you really want light, get it turned down.

Honestly, I just like the look of dimples

I can't drop $500 on a boomfab. I just can't. It'll probably kill my hopes of super light weight, but I want night vision so I have to prioritize

It doesn't save any real weight, just increases surface area.

Shave that beaver.  Or get both.

If I remember correctly, you've got the BAD receiver set and the Balios lightweight set, hell maybe even the Seekins.  Which has been your favorite lightweight receiver set up?  Any particular reasons?

ETA, I guess maybe the Seekins billet isn't necessarily a light weight but you get the idea.

Bushmaster.

Obviously.

And in both cases, unless you like reminiscing about the 1980s, you're better off with something more modern.

Just trying to double check as I consider starting a CWAR build and need handguard clarification.

MK-4 AND MK-8 are acceptable, correct?
No Keymod, MLOK is good to go.

I see most use 13", is 15" acceptable?

Yes to all this. 15in would be good on a 18in barrel.

From the CWW AAR page:

Thanks to anyone that had a hand in making/paying for this rifle: JoshAston, Sylvan, Scare_Crow, TrojanMan, YukonBoy, LinggrrLonggrr, Atcforrest, teeli, smurf10161,  and anyone else I missed. Josh wasn't sure of some screen names as I guess this thing was done through the CW Facebook. You guys sure are good at keeping secrets! I also plan on calling Bill G. and hopefully can actually talk to him as I have never yet had the pleasure. The rifle will be getting a Bobro with an Acog ASAP! The badass sign was made by LinggrrLonggrr and his daughter, then signed by everyone. When I get moved into my new and revamped reloading room, this puppy is going right above my bench. And Stutz, my coin has the slightest hint at patina after a weekend in the Wasteland, it will now accompany me everywhere I go.

It's very hard to grasp that a bunch of strangers would go through this much work-not to mention spend the money on a complete stranger. I can honestly say that this is held in as high of regard (is that how you'd say it? You know what I mean) as my grandpa's guns. Words can't express what I would like to say...but THANK YOU!
