... Movie of the week:  A Night in Old Mexico (2013)

Who doesn't love Robert Duvall? Restores a little faith in us old guys.

Not great, but worth the time to watch!

Might have been mentioned already a while back but I just found this last night----> WWII - The Last Heroes

Interviews from the guys that were there describing what they saw and experienced.  This isn't your History Channel re-hash of all the same footage we've all seen already.  There are 6 episodes, I just finished the first one last night.

No, HBO.

You should definitely check it out if you can though.  Now that 'Breaking Bad' is done 'Game of Thrones' is easily the best drama on tv, IMO.

In fact, it's tied with 'Breaking Bad' as the highest rated tv show of all time on imdb.com with a 9.5/10.

Couldn't agree more! Film had potential, but went down the shitter pretty quick when it hit the "6 years earlier" flashback. I'd say 2 out of 5.

They get yanked periodically, but if you search for them on youtube and filter results for >20 minutes, you'll routinely find full episodes from later seasons.

The Swedish version with Krister Henrickson as Wallander was the original - it's 3 seasons (season 2 & 3 are on Netflix, the 1st season is difficult to find...I nabbed them off of Newgroups). It's very very good.

The BBC remake with Kenneth Branagh isn't bad, but it's pretty different and either re-tells some of the Swedish version's stories or goes off in a different direction (especially concerning Wallander's father and daughter).

I'm not sure how long it's been on Netflix, but I only heard about the movie last week.

Snowpiercer: It's about an earth where the world's governments try to stop global warming.  Instead, they basically bring in an ice age that kills everyone on earth except those who boarded a high tech train. Pretty good movie overall and a very original story. There's also some cool fight scenes and gunplay.
