Watched Oculus today. I enjoyed it. I thought they did a good job with telling the story of what happened and what was currently happening.
I also watched the newest paranormal activity. The ending was the best part. I was pretty disappointed with the movie after enjoying the others. They have been steadily declining. |

Maybe it's been mentioned but A Simple Plan is very good. Billy Bob and Bill Paxton are brothers that find a large sum of money and decide to keep it. I don't want to give away too much but they have a few serious complications.

Yeah they actually kill zombies in every single Z Nation episode (or almost every episode). Walking Dead not so much. I LOL when I heard they signed a second season of Z Nation considering how bad some of the acting and story lines really were. Kind of rooting for the show for some weird reason.  Edit to add: I too want to see what happens seeing how they left the end of season one.

The Pact: Fairly good ghost story. Had a few really creepy moments and disturbing images. Lead girl was damn sexy too. 3.5 out of 5

Just finished these 1-season series:
Salem (my rating = 7/10) Watch this with your wife/gf. It's a new take on the Salem witch hysteria. An evil bitch causes drama. People die. Season 2 airs April 2015. Helix (my rating = 5/10) Typical SyFy channel cheesiness...B-actors making bad decisions. Somewhat entertaining, but there is nothing new here. Season 2 starts Friday 01/16/15. Marco Polo (my rating = 5/10) I like historical dramas so I gave it a shot but the characters just aren't very interesting. The occasional kung-fu scenes and naked Asian chicks are the best part but there aren't nearly enough of either. It has been renewed for another season. Currently Working on: Luther (my rating = 8/10) Just started se03. This show is fuckin awesome so far. As best I can tell we have no direct equivalent of this show in the US. I watch a lot of Law & Order and this nothing like that. This is much darker. Full Disclosure: Once Upon A Time (my rating 3/10) This is my gf's pick. She is really enjoying it. They basically rip off every princess fairy tale you've ever heard of and interconnect them to create drama amongst the characters. This is best endured quietly, alongside a good woman, with your tablet computer in hand and good wifi access. There are 4 seasons of this crap. God help you. |
