My 1st build for my wife. The upper is a 16" HBAR Chrome lined 1/9 twist upper that I ordered from AR15-kits.com, and the lower is a GWACS Armory CAV -15. Still waiting on Optics Planet to send out the Lucid HD7 to me for it.

Now let's see them on some nice lowers, which lowers are they going on?? I have two SI Defense billet lowers I ordered on Dec. 28 that are still 6 weeks out they tell me. I put one together with a spare Seekins lower that I decided to make OD. The other one will be FDE. The damned roll mark is too shallow and wide to allow for the use of most of the "cmmon" methods of color fill. |

I have to give a huge thanks to CMMG for their great customer service and technical assistance!! This would still be a work in progress if not for their help with the FF issue (listed in another CMMG posting which was resolved to my satisfaction!!).
I wanted my build to be a sleek as possible without things hanging off the side to hang on things or get damaged. This is a perfect setup for me. CMMG .223/5.56 Revolution Ambidextrous Upper Righty (FA on left side, Ejection on right side with ejection port cover opening up as a lefty would) CMMG 16" 1:7 CHF HP Barrel CMMG MK15 Forged Aluminum Lower CMMG K7 FF Standard Rubber/Plastic Rail ladder covers for FF (black) and flat top (flat dark earth) EOTech EXPS-2 Red Dot Command Arms MGRIP1 MWG Magpul AFG2 Magpul +GRIP Magpul MBUS Rear Sight TangoDown PR-4 Single Point Sling Mount Elzetta ZFH1500 Light Mount Fenix PD32 315 Lumens Light Griffin Armament M4SD-II Compensator Not Shown - Battle Arms Ambi Safety Selector, Rainier Raptor Charging Handle, Magpul MS3 Sling, Magpul RSA Single Point Sling Mount I might look at replacing the stock, but I love the light ass-end of this build thus far, so no rush in that category. Total weight approximately 9lbs with empty mag. I am looking for a ejection lever that will fit this particular lower. Magpul's BadAss won't fit and I am not sure of Phase 5's levers. I just hate to pay the price for one and it not fit. I am leaning towards CMMG to maybe look at helping create one for the market. http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag108/DS3IC/M4%20FF%20Barrel%20Nut%20FIX/CMMG-K7-rail-setup-RIGHT_zpsdf252880.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag108/DS3IC/M4%20FF%20Barrel%20Nut%20FIX/CMMG-K7-rail-setup-LEFT_zpsf2e782be.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag108/DS3IC/M4%20FF%20Barrel%20Nut%20FIX/mk15_lower1_zpsd7572a64.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag108/DS3IC/M4%20FF%20Barrel%20Nut%20FIX/mk15_lower3_zpsccfa2f76.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag108/DS3IC/M4%20FF%20Barrel%20Nut%20FIX/upper_barrel_zpsbd0a14de.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag108/DS3IC/M4%20FF%20Barrel%20Nut%20FIX/69631a0e-318e-4f6e-9987-601170dbedce_zps4b811508.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/ag108/DS3IC/M4%20FF%20Barrel%20Nut%20FIX/9bc49f21-d263-4dff-aa0e-7310da7bc71e_zps2fc37457.jpg |

It's something I'm trying out...due to weather here in MO recently (and work, kids, etc.) I haven't had a chance to try some of the new items such as the grip idea at the range yet. My intent, which feels good at the house is to hold it comfortably out-right and the easily slide down to the mag grip without holding the mag well. We'll see. |
