First off, I'm really surprised to have accomplished acquiring almost all of the parts during the madness.  Like many people, a lot of us have held off building our actual own AR waiting for the time to come and do it.  Now became the time and lucky, with the help of many good friends, forum members and strangers we were able to piece, and put together my first build as below.  For some of you who know me, and helped -- thank you!  Now to share the build...

That is one bad ass rifle ! I just have have a bias opinion and think the best grip on those MEGA billet lowers is the Umbrella Corporation grip. One in flat dark earth would be the cherry on that sundae you built right there !

I'll be sure to check them out.  Don't think I'd looked at Troy all that closely yet.



Have looked at both them and the Magpul K-grip, am a fan of the grip being a little more vertical.  As for the Umbrella, couldn't stand the little "tail" at the end (covering the metal), though agreed, it's a sweet grip.

So the new series Surefire SOCOM suppressors work with the older generation mounts?

This is the K can series, the SOCOM series does not work with older mounts.

Ahh, ok. I wasn't aware there was a monster version of the older cans.

That's so very fucking sexy!!  I sold my Mega Billet to fund other less privileged builds but I shall return.  Excellent build man superb tastes......

After piecing this one together, I've decided the Maten will be my next project!

I like the matching Megas.  I have one left to get parts for and it will be a mega set.
