Starting to look into this. This is too cool. Obviously this won't be on the same level as a dead air can but its half the price and its always cooler when you make it.

The can is easy to build, if you have a drill press or know someone with one it's no problem. Here's my can and all the internals. I also have an Obsidian or form 4, but some firearms deserve their own can.

Sounds damn good, first round pop and then it's quiet. The only way I would've been happier is a factory can, but I have to many firearms for all of them to have their own suppressor.
ETA: I had some problems with POI at first, but I eventually figured out the problem.

Something like that. Seriously though, that thing ran so good. I'm buying one and a can. It has to be done.

About suppressor:  I bought a hybrid for mine--because it looked so cool in silencerco's marketing pics.

Also, for those who want an Omega 9k--sico opened up speq pricing for all ex mil for May, my price was $599 + tax, so about $640 OTD

I've shot TATBME's Evo with this can on it and all I remember hearing was the clickety-clack of the action.

These homebrew cans may seem hokey (I certainly thought they were) but they are no joke when it comes to performance. I built a 22lr can with SD Tactical tube and endcaps, and it works like a charm. Shot it alongside a friend's Spectre II and only the first round pop was noticeably quieter with the Spectre II.

No.  The corner of that carrier is chipped.  Definitely a weak point, but it should be designed so that it shouldn't happen.  Contact CS about it.

Mine is unfired (by me) and has a very similar chip in the exact same spot. I didn't expect it to be an issue.

Could you at the very least share the specs on the tube? I'm building a dedicated can for my Evo but it's gonna get welded on to make it a 1 stamp gun so I'm worried about concentricity and it being a good can for the gun. What was the source of your poi issues? Your can seems to be nice and short, but a good thickness unlike throwing a skinny pistol can on a rifle.

If it functions then Get r done as Mater says:Mater: Oh, for a second there I thought you was trying to fix my dents.

Holley Shiftwell: Yes, I was.

Mater: Well then, no thank you. I don't get them dents buffed, pulled, filled or painted by nobody. They way too valuble.

Does anyone have a good case that will fit the sbr with folded stock?  I'm looking for something discreet such as a laptop bag. I'd like something with straps inside to hold the rifle and possibly a side compartment for mags and suppressor.

Can someone post brass marks on their bolt?

I am seeing brass marks on the left (inside of the receiver). Haven't had failures to eject just can't account for while there would be brass marks there.

It took me just over a year since when I first posted about wanting one. Now my F1 is pending, manticore has released a sweet stock, my subgun can is en route and accessories are piling up. I say do it

I picked up my Scorpion a little over a week ago, and mine has the same "ding" on the corner of the bolt. It also has a corresponding shiny mark on the barrel "fixation insert".

My scorpion has functioned perfectly for the 100 or so rounds I've put through it so far - and while I'm not worried about this, I will keep an eye on it.

I've got 2 EVO 3's, & neither of them have this chip defect.  The corners probably should have a chamfer to mitigate this from happening, but it's a flaw no matter how often it occurs.

I doubt the CAD files have this "feature" in the diagram.

I set my purse down and made them fit.

I pull them out and put them back into it often I'm hoping it will loosen up more in time. For the cost though they will serve there purpose no doubt.

Just submitted my first Form 1 for a can; something I'd never thought i'd do. I plan on using my scorpion to test it at first.
This will be a pistol can mainly but I thought it might be cool to make it out of titanium and create it in a way so that I might be able to use it on a rifle too. Hopefully I can also design it so that it can accept wipes. I got plans for a few more cans too! Is there any company that is offering modular tubes? or would I be better off submitting a full sized stamp and a "K" stamp?

I left this thread a while back for monetary reasons..... But I saw multiple scorpions at saxet gunshow in San Antonio today. Price was $750-799 and I believe they were original, the one I looked at did not appear to be a world model. In case anyone is worried about availability still.

I was at Capitol armory and they showed me the omega 9k on a 3 lug. Gonna have to buy that now for the scorp.

Please post a pic of your clean bolts. I have seen about 2 dozen Scorpions and every single one has this, so I am genuinely curious.

Do it. Every scorpion I have ever seen has it, it is not a defect as some others seem to think. Mine with it since new has about 4K rounds down the pipe.

I've got 2 EVO 3's, & neither of them have this chip defect.  The corners probably should have a chamfer to mitigate this from happening, but it's a flaw no matter how often it occurs.

I doubt the CAD files have this "feature" in the diagram.

Please post a pic of your clean bolts. I have seen about 2 dozen Scorpions and every single one has this, so I am genuinely curious.
Here is mine.  After 1K rounds,

I shot 125 rounds today with no issues. I will post a pic of the bolt when I get around to cleaning it.

I'm eyeing up some of the SD tac "B" cell solvent tubes for my form 1 build.
Does anyone know if anyone has thread protectors for the 18x1 threads? Or would I have to get the 1/2x28 then get an adapter for the 18x1?
Also are there any modular tubes out there yet?

Modular tubes are a bit of a gray legal area/no go for form 1 builders. And unless you want it to fit under an extended handguard, a wider tube like a D tube will give you more volume at a shorter length. I don't know of any 18x1 thread protectors out there besides the flash hider that came with the gun.  If you have an existing can I can understand using an adapter but if this form 1 is going to be dedicated for the Scorpion you can source a 18x1 direct thread for your can, Big Waylon helped me.

Interesting... That's why some other people weren't responding to my questions, lol. Thanks!
I submitted a form 1 for an 8" can. Thinking I could use it for both pistol and rifle if I use mainly Ti components.  I'll also be submitting a stamp for a "K" can. The K can will probably be D sized. The K can will most likely be mainly for the evo. However I'll probably use both my 8" can and my K can on my evo.

I'm considering going the form 1 route with a DM aluminum kit with a 6" long 1.625" diameter tube.  They have an 18x1 endcap for the aluminum and stainless kits; not titanium though.

I couldn't seem to find 18x1 anywhere on DMs site, how'd you find it?

You can order these parts without an approved form 1 correct? I know there's an answer out there somewhere but I assume I can order them, no problem.

I wouldn't drill holes but I have all my parts and my stamp is pending. Ymmv

You can order parts, but you cannot drill any holes until your form 1 is approved.
