thats interesting.  I replaced the PWS brake on mine with a BABC while it did kick a bit more it was totally controlable.  I shot about 1000 rounds through my 17s on the last day and half of a 3 day Costa Ludus class and had no issues what so ever with recoil or cheek slapping.

I got out the 17s just to try for a little bit durring the class as it was reletively new at that time and I didn't have a lot of experience with it however I found it so controlable that I kept shooting it for the rest of the class.  The fact that I was able to keep up with the guys running .223 says a lot about this system.  About the only handicaps I found when running the SCAR 17s were the 20 round ammo capacity of the mags compared to the 30 round mags everone else had and the wieght of the loaded mags on my belt.

Hey there Doc.

Nah, a buddy of Kalmar's sold it to him and now that buddy has extreme sellers remorse.  There were just three that made it out legitimately via Armament Technology to a well-connected retailer.  You see one of them.  Great pics, Kalmar.  Enjoy that thing

I probably wouldn't be posting any serial numbers if I had... just saying. Tfisch has got the story straight (thanks again man!)

Very cool    All of the SU230As (7.62 calibrated military contract FDEs) are extremely rare. As far as military contract SU230As go, the particular one that you have is approx 2 gens ago...pre-"bubble side" body (1 gen ago) and pre-""bubble side" body HD (current).  The current civilian Limited Run FDEs are built to the HD specs but with civilian reticle.

Running my work gun pretty much this way since early August. No more tape switches.

The SRS is the heat. It's a below-500 serial number. I do NOT regret spending what I did on it. I like the 1.75 dot a lot and the monster FOV, too.

Total round count ~2500 now (done more shootin' & just taught a rifle class).

I'm up to two SF60s now - both were made in Jul 2012, and have run flawlessly through hundreds of rounds. I've been too lazy to send the first "dud" one back yet.

Yes.

How heavy is it?

A little more than a loaded Garand. About 2lbs more than that with the lights, LASER, AND SF60 in it.

Thank you. I've changed it up a lot over time but I'm pretty set with this setup. It has everything I need to be efficient and nothing I don't.

It's made by Konus. Not sure the model. I like it as it has green and red dots in varying intensities. I went to the range a few days ago and when i took the gun out of the bag it was still on, when i put it away and took it out a week later it was still on. Last a lot longer then my gen 1-3 primary arms.
