Here are the different rigs I tried over the years:

I don't use the TC2000 anymore, but keep them anyway.

EDIT: don't know why the pic doesn't show up despite the img tags, it works fine in the preview...

Certainly looks a hell of a lot easier to do than messing around with an exacto knife like you, Augee and I

Yours turned out well CC

Same setup, becoming well used.  This is what you're left with after running Cola Warrior West in the mud and snow.

For anyone interested in a good helmet mounted illuminator:  for the last 6-7 years I've been running a Solarforce L2P host with a P60 IR single mode drop in.  Total setup cost me about $40 and it is a great combination of throw and flood.  It also runs on an 18650 battery so you don't have to worry about burning through CR123 primaries.

That FLIR M-24 640 core detects more hogs than anything else I own, and that is saying something since I own a considerable amount of gear....it is also the most well designed ergonomic to operate thermal head mount system with automatic shutter too!

So I wanted to come to the source and ask you guys, I just picked up a MICH 2000 for 100.00 and am pretty pleased with it, but have had a hard time finding non air soft rails and accessories? Is there any good places that I can look for some rails that will fit? And what accessories do you guys recommend?

From what little I have been able to find I have a few ideas on what I want, but I would appreciate some advice for experienced users. I want to eventually get an NVG setup but that's in the future. For now I'm somewhat just looking for a rail, and a mount, and a light to run on it.

I have been looking at:

Palanx Marsoc/ warfighter shroud.
Norotos one and three
Go pro mount TNVC's model.
Ops core VAS shroud.

Am on on the right track or is there a better option out there?

No idea what the Go-Pro mount is, and I'd skip the airsoft one you listed.

Of the 3 the VAS was my least favorite. I felt it didn't seat any setting and I had well; there was a lot of wobble.

The Norotos is nice, although I've seen a ton of broken ones (although that's probably only because I've seen more of them than the others by far). It's got some rubber that puts tension on the swing an so there's no play or wobble. It is the most expensive.

My favorite is the Wilcox L4 3-hole. It's got rubber tensioning like the universal, is skeletonized like the VAS, and isn't nearly as expensive as the Norotos.

ETA: is this the Go-Pro mount you're talking about? This isn't a nod mount, it's the adapter that let's the Go-Pro to mount on nvg shrouds.

Awesome, I'll definitely check them out. And yes, that's the one I was looking at, I stumbled on it looking at different shrouds and figure since I already own a Go-Pro why not. It could make for some interesting footage.

I have been looking at different sites trying to find the best price I could order it all from, do you guys have any recommendations? The Ops core site seems a little steep and I'm not above going with used stuff for the time being?

I finished building up an ACH last year, now am slowly putting money aside for NODs.

I went with the Revision Batlskin front mount and rails.  I couldn't find much info on them, but I liked how the front mount and rails all tie together to make a sturdy 3-point mounting platform for a 1-hole helmet.  I don't know if anyone else here has tried these out, but they seem solid.

I just need to get enough extra money set aside for that PVS-14 now.

Right you are...didn't notice that detail in the pics.  I just figured a standard ACH is typically 1 hole vs 3.

Well, here it is. Simple and effective. Eventually this will have some binos, Wilcox G24, and HELSTAR.

The Scout is borrowed from my 300Blk to see how I like it. I have a dedicated IR only light but have to find the right MLok mount for it.

Does anyone know if Surefire makes an only IR head for the Scout? I'd like to pick up one to put on an Arisaka body.

It's just a shotgun shell scabbard. Using the top spots for batteries and the black cylinders are some lead rod that I wrapped with electrical tape for use as a counterweight. I've got more made up to change the weight as needed. I think I got the scabbard off of Amazon. Had it for a while and just got a wide hair to try something. I like it and works really well for my application.

(ETA) I just realized my flag is upside down. When I get home, I'll pull my head out of my ass and fix it.
