I just cringe at the whole "purse carry" thing. You do know they chances of mom seeing the attacker coming with enough time to draw from her purse without being impeded by what ever else is In her purse and her arthritis is incredibly low right? She most likely wouldn't see the attacker coming and the first thing they will do is try to separate her from her purse because it has her money and possibly a weapon.if people cannot carry on their person they should really consider not carrying.

As long as she trains enough to be safe with it, she will be better off than if she didn't have it. You may disagree with it, but thankfully she has the right to make that choice for herself.
The same people that are not your typical looking "shooter" are the same ones that are the most likely targets for criminals. That 6' young man walking through the parking lot probably isn't going to get robbed regardless if he has a Glock 19 on his waste or not, because he looks like a tough mark. The 65 year old lady that weighs 100lbs soaking wet on the other hand...
She has gone to the trouble of getting her CHL, she wants to carry. She deserves to be able to do so. A lot of women start out carrying in their purse and eventually make the transition to on body carry. Everyone starts somewhere.
