Nice! lots of sweet BHPs! Here's mine. It's a numbers matching WWII era FN (made in Belgium during the German occupation) with German Army stampings.

Cheers!

Here's my new baby:

9mm Mk III.  It had some blemishes on the finish, so it was marked down to $599 from $699.  I thought I got a deal, but reading some of the posts here I think I was ripped off.

Although it is for sale, I will post mine.

A Belgium made (1991) Fabrique National Herstal Belique P-35 9mm. This was one of the lot of Israeli IDF FNs that Aim Surplus sold a number of years ago. When I received the pistol it had been painted with black paint and had bright yellow tape on both sides of the slide. I removed the tape and removed the paint to get down to the factory finish (which was pretty decent). I eventually had the pistol refinished as the pictures show. A little investigating determined that the yellow stripes were used so the IDF could identify undercover IDF personnel who were dressed and working in Arab areas. Vey interesting and a little piece of history.

The mag saftey has been removed and a smooth / clean trigger job completed. I also installed Mk3 grips and a factory ambi safety.

M60-E4, I sent an E-mail and PM regarding your pistol. I'm interested if it is still available.

My one and only Hi-Power...an FEG.  I have had it for about 12 years and it has worked flawlessly since day one.  I parked it about three years ago because the finish was looking pretty sad after years of abuse and loaning it to "friends".

I still love it!

I've lusted for one of these for years.
Still have to get a couple more 'special' guns, and a .40 HP is at the top of the list.
( I have 3 Beretta pistols in .40, so I'd stay with that cartridge ).

I have a nice Browning BAR MkII Safari / BOSS 7mm Rem.Mag with great wood.
I'm looking at possibly getting another BAR in .338 Win.Mag.
I traded a couple of non-essential rifles for a Browning A5 Magnum Twelve ( Miroku made ).  This was a great decision!
I traded away a really nice Morgan, UT Challenger II .22LR w/ 6 7/8" bbl. ( yeah, stupid of me, and I should replace it with something like the new 7 1/2" pistol with the fingergrooves... )

The Hi-Power is like the 'better looking sister' to the 1911, don't you think?

You guys have quite the nice collection of photos here.  Thanks!

Here's the BHP I aquired in a trade today... Nice gun. I haven't owned a BHP for years (as a 1911 guy), but am really looking forward to shooting this one.

IPSCHOSER,
Pretty nice looking HP you got.  I wish the sights could be seen better in your photo.  Looks like a custom job and what about the finish is that Black T ?
It really needs some custom grips to set it all off IMO.

Here's some photos of my FN HP with some of Mr. Hakan Pek's handmade 'Extreme' pattern grips in balbonie wood.

I know other people have said it before but the fit and craftsmanship of these grips is absolutely amazing. They're tight and stay in without even putting the screws in place.

They're also a lot more slender than I was expecting, he'll make them however you want but I think they feel thinner than the factory grips due to the leading and trailing edges being shaved down instead of 'flat' like the factory ones.

I'm a little ashamed to put them on a beater pistol like this but this way I know I'll they'll get used.

Click on the thumbs below BUT THEN CLICK on the larger picture that pops up (imageshack resizes them smaller and they look jagged).

Under normal indirect room light the grips look like the top photo

But in the sun or bright light the wood really comes to life.

The picture below can be enlarged to show the close detail on the wood. Make sure you click on the picture again once the browser opens the larger version.

Hope you like the photos.

Ha! We need pics of my BHP's 40 caliber sibling too, slidelock! (I got my pistol from slidelock in a trade deal)

Here's the updated shot of the 9.

My HP's, I should say that I am extremely biased towards the SFS system from Cylinder and Slide, both came from FN with the system installed. I know people either love it or hate it... I love it.  The other interesting thing to me is the weight difference in the alloy frame vs. the steel frame.  I go back and forth depending on the day which feels better and shoots better... either way.. you can't lose with a BHP!

I refinshed my FM this week, did it with a Lauer Mag Phosp parkerizing kit. I blasted the frame and slide with some black-beauty blasting media (kinda coarse), then polished the slide with 1000 grit paper till it shined a bit. I think I messed up the dipping a little, but it looks fine to me after oiling.

Pic's

I also put a 22lb Wolff recoil srping in it to cut down on its snappieness, espcially problematic in the cheap but hot Adcom stuff I run in it.

edit: Grips, in case people ask, are some cheap ebay grips I got for $10. I'm probably going to get a set of wraparounds when I order a set for my CZ75 later on.

My Browning MKIII.   I traded a used Glock 19 for this baby; the best trade I've ever made.  I've since taken the cheapo wood grips off and put the factory ones back on.

Nice pistol, Eddie.  Did it have the C&S hammer on it when you traded?  Does it have the C&S sear, too?  Just put them on one of my BHPs and it feels very, very nice.
