The Bolt Carrier seams to be good to go.

I say this because I have not actually drilled into it or put a sharp edge to it to test it the metal but it looks like and feels and appears that it is hard as shit! As long as you have a gunsmith like mine you should be good to go.

haha, no really, as long as its done with a mill and by someone who has "gun modification" experience then it should be as hard as installing a new light switch

Unless you're planning on leaving your SDN-6 on permanantly, that handguard isn't going to work well with the SDN-6 latch, if it even fits in the handguard at all.

My guess is 7.5" - shortest AAC will warranty and doesn't include muzzle device; but it is difficult to say which is why I asked.

I was just messing around Bartholomew. It can't be 7.5" though because the threads on the barrel start around the 1.5" mark and the barrel extension starts around the 10" mark, so that's why I said 8.5". Plus I know a company that just had a sale on 8.5" 300 barrels.

YAY, I can finally play in this thread!

I was at the LGS yesterday after hours drinking a couple beers and BSing with some friends and i see this this 8.5" 300blkout upper sitting in the case.
well im building a 11.5" SBR at the moment and at some point want a 300 upper for it as well so i was tempted. Another beer later and i found myself putting some money down on it

I went to the shop to buy a 11.5" 556 barrel and ended up with that and a 11" NSR rail for the other build
