loving my recce and NF combo tho :). the issues immediately stopped at the range when i went back to that setup.

Haha, Mark's an intense dude.

I've only had LT stuff for Aimpoints, they've been great in that application. My Mk 12 is rocking the Recce rail, I think that's the way to go for these.

i actually bought an aimpoint PRO in an lt150 mount and it was fINE. zeroed and shot it on my mk18 and M4. i swapped it for a wilcox even stevens for a mk12 member and personal buddy. no complaints with that. machining quality was good and they locked up fine.

i agree tho...the unitized PRI mount system is probably THE mk12 thing to have....kinda why im a pri guy actually!

Not a great picture so forgive me...but this is what I got so far. Still need the bipod adapter (ordered) bipod, BUIS, bcg, optic with rings. I think it's coming along pretty good.

Kind of annoyed I got a little left and right play between the recivers. May need an accuwedge or something to tighten it up. It's weird because the lower fits nice and tight on my LMT upper with no play, and this MK12 upper fits tight on my other Stag lower nice and tight. Just this combo has some play in it.

The BCG should take up some of the free play.

What was the purpose of them adding the lever stops? I'll be honest I never even noticed them on my issued MK12 Mod 1.

Their Mk2 locking throw levers.

There is actually 2 versions of the humps, one is MUCH easier to grind than the other, since it was just over molded.

Yep, the "humpless" version doesn't have a locking throw lever and is easier to release if caught on something or so they say. Never seemed to have a problem with the older ones myself.

When I got mine I was very pleasantly surprised at how effective the AEM5 is.  I can hear the action cycling while firing.  I did not expect it to be THAT good.

I honestly don't know if there's any .223 subsonic ammo to be had which will cycle the action but I'd like to try that just to experience how quiet it would be.

Shooting outdoors with no other loud noise sources in the area, I can shoot the AEM5 without hearing protection.

You'd be fine with a Gen I or Gen II type, pretty sure we've seen both between one of our thread members who uses an H and the guy from KRG Ops who put a Gen II FDE one on his.

No kidding, I don't have a mill or anything for machining besides a drill press, so a dremmel with a milling bit and fairly steady hand is as good as it gets. If only everybody could get perfect results

Kinda wonder what optics SF users would be using/experimenting with had the Mk12 remained in service...

I'm seriously considering throwing a Vortex Razor HD Gen II 3-18x50 on my Mod 1 and transferring the TS30A2 to my future Holland build. I love the TS30A2, but my Mod 1 is so accurate I'd love to take it out further - could always use more magnification. Plus, I've seen a number of SF guys running Vortex Razor Gen II optics on their Mk17s and/or M4A1s that I feel like if the Mk12 was still around we'd see somebody using one or these optics...

The AEM5 suppressor has been by far the best purchase I have ever made. The 7 month wait was WAY worth it!

I hand load my own ammo so I'm going to try 3 grains of Titegroup under a 55gr. bullet for some subsonic loads.

I've found buying a .22 conversion kit and shooting subsonic .22 ammo is the best way to shoot subsonic.

I hate racking each shot on an AR plus subsonic 223 rounds are tumbling at 100 or close to it.

Question, I recently picked up a Leupold 3.5-10x40 M3 and am wondering if there is a kosher mk262 turret for it like there is for the 2.5-8x36? I know I can get some turrets form Leupold Custom shop or other custom manufactures but I wanted to check here and see if there was a "correct" one. Thanks

At one point there was an SPR elevation dial, originally .308 turrets would have been used. You just have to make a dope chart of the yardage +/- clicks for your actual dope on your ammo.

You might be able to see if Leupold can do a knob with 77gr SPR marking and in M3
