Correct zero is zero, you can use the horse shoe/dot 0-300 in any X but past that you need to go to 6X

Is this the correct MOA drops for the ranging lines? I'm trying to match my 69SMK load, 2700-2750 fps
300=2.85 400=5.95 500=9.6 600=14.15 700=19.65 800=26.25 |

I guess I missed when these were in stock. I plan to go with the Aero mount, which offset should I get? Extended? SPR? Extended. The SPR is too much. I bought the SPR and it was to far foward. Lucky it worked on my wifes AR with her Vortex and I used her extended. Could you define too far forward or perhaps show us a picture or two? Where does the rear of the scope fall with each mount? Still have room for a BUIS? Can you still shoot nose to charging handle? Thanks, -Jim |

I just ordered one, waiting. I consider to buy Bobro Extended mount at afordable price, this one, link for reference
http://www.brownells.com/optics-mounting/rings-mounts-amp-bases/mount-sets/extra-extended-precision-optics-prod67754.aspx I am tall guy and I am shooting with extended stock. After using red dots, this is my first scope. I don't know at which position scope will be confortable and I don't want to experiment with many high cost mounts. According construction it has ability to mount scope different ways - slightly rear (as standard mounts) or forward (NTCH) position. So, I think Bobro Ext Mount gives more flexibility. Somebody agree with me, is my supposition correct? Can you post pic of PA scope with Bobro Ext Mount? ETA: details from Bobro site: Ring Spacing: 2.150" inside to inside Ring Spacing: 3.870" outside to outside |

I was mounting the 1-6 on my Colt and wanted to use the FDE SPR mount due to the color. I do shoot NTCH and the scope was to far up for a good sight picture in the scope. I had to return my black Aero Extended ultra lite mount and the scope was perfect (for me) and yes plenty of room for flip ups. The SPR mount worked like a charm on my wife's DPMS with the 4-14 Vortex. I can shoot some pics tomorrow if you still need to see. |

I sent you guys an email a while back with a suggestion/request, figured I'd see if there's any feedback or update on whether it's feasible.
Would you guys consider offering the 1-6 with the CQB-MIL reticle that seems to be available on your new 1-8? I hadn't seen this until literally just now, but that's almost exactly what I had asked about in my email. A standardized Mil based reticle with external adjustments. Even further, I'd rather have a fixed power 6x with the same footprint, Mil reticle/adjustments, and less weight. I own an SWFA 1-4 and honestly, I don't even use the 1-4 functions. Until scopes come with pushbutton zoom changes, an offset MRD would seem to always be faster than having to take a hand off and rotate a power lever, and a lighter, simpler fixed power scope would be better as well. |

I grabbed a blemished 1-6X ACSS on Ebay for $200 to go on my 5.56 to replace my Eotech. Eotechs don't play well with my astigmatism.
I couldn't find any blemishes at all, and was so impressed with the scope I bought another blemished one to go on my AR10. Glad I did because there were only 4 left when I ordered. The etched reticle is much better with my astigmatism. Still may buy another one for my 6.8 SPC. |

They are great when you can standardize on ammo and barrel lengths, but when an optic may end up on a short 5.56 or a longer .308 battle rifle, I'd rather have a good MIL reticle and MIL adjustments. That's why I keep a ballistic app on my phone or print off a range card. If you guys could just offer Mil adjustments with a Mil reticle on the 1-6 I guess that's more of what I'd want. |

My buddy was talking to me tonight about the new Vortex Strike Eagle. It brought me back to this. I wonder how these two similar scopes will compare?
The PA is about $75~ cheaper. And I am familiar with the ACSS recicle. It seems this has been discussed slightly, but I don't want to read through 50+ pages. Basically, he is going the route of the Strike Eagle and now I feel obligated to get the PA 1-6. |
|
[#22]
Everything I've read people seem to agree its the same scope with different rets. I really like the ACSS, if I was in the market it would be an easy choice for me.

Basically a lighter version of the 1-8, or a "premium" version of the current 1-6. |

I'm starting to have issues when I'm at 6x, nothing seems to focus no matter how much I adjust the eyepiece. Lots of aberrations show up and becomes very blurry but at 1-4x, it's fine.
When I adjust the eyepiece all the way in, it seems like it rubs on something inside. Is this normal? |
