Possibly a Para FAL, in lieu of the M14, but 1911 for sure, AK ammo availability would be an issue here, and anything that a 1911 might need, I've done. Revolver would be a model 25 Smith, or a 1917 if I needed it shorter.
Where would you get the Para FAL?
They existed back then (well, folding-butt rifles, anyways).  You had the Rogaks and the five G series folders.  I can't recall if there were other import batches by that time or not.  And of course, you could have someone go through the effort of importing something; I've heard of this being done for hard-to-get European stuff like the CZ-75.  If you wanted a para configuration without going through the trouble of trying to find something overseas and import it, you could get one of the folding-butt rifles with the long barrel and have it cut down and rethreaded to para length and you'd be GTG.

Not much of a rifleman, so I'm not sure what was in back then, so I'll go with an M1 Garand.

As far as a pistol I'd go with a 3rd Model Hand Ejector in .44 Special.

You get to learn something new today!

ETA-I always thought it was the Browning High Power, for some 2 extra rounds is 9mm Steroids.

ETAA- Browning High-Power and an M-14 with all the right switches.

The MAB PA-15 (Pistolet Automatique 15, also known as the P-15 or P.15 Standard) was designed by the Manufacture d'armes de Bayonne. The model number, 15, refers to the magazine capacity. When introduced, this was the first pistol holding a greater number of rounds than the 13-round Browning Hi-Power. The PA-15 was introduced in 1966....
