Am I being dumb here or did he not have the opportunity to get off some rounds as the gun sweapt the female officer when he was grabbed. I think she was very lucky.

I cannot understand why more officers don't go to weak side carry/draw with the Taser.

I was cringing more about the male officer's positioning when they were walking out. In front of the guy, and not really watching him.

Could have, but he likely wasn't trying to hurt her. The suspect knew he was only packing a pellet gun when he drew it, and then even at that he kept it pressed to his own body. Suicide by cops IMHO.

It was a fucking BB gun?!?! So the fucking guy pulled a BB gun....and now he's dead, and two officers have to live with killing that guy.

My only problem with that is the female didn't start shooting UNTIL the guy was going down. It's a good shoot, but she needs more training and especially should recognize when the threat is down.

Ditto to all of this. It was a good shoot but, due to the stupid actions of the deceased, it was, ultimately, an unneeded one. He should have just surrendered and gone to jail for the theft. Plain and simple. He would have a criminal record but at least he would still be alive. Stupid games, stupid prizes and all that jazz.

I'm not LE but I'd agree, her draw was pretty fast and it looks like she didn't realize it until she saw the sights and figured they were wrong (IMO; look at the presentation, it was up and ready to go but not reacting like she was expecting)

If I had to guess I would say she was expecting to have to taze his ass but it went even more sideways faster...
