Anyone here drive older beater cars everyday?
2000 Chevy shortbed single cab 2 wheel drive with a manual transmission and a V-6.
Up until 6-7 months ago my daily was a 1996 Tacoma 2wd with over 250,000 miles on it.
Not really a beater though, it was in really good shape and well cared for. A good, solid, payed cash for it daily driver. Now I have a newer tacoma that I love, just hate having payments. |

1994 base (no power windows or locks) Chevy Malibu. 40K miles. Bought it used a year ago with 30k miles. It's not beautiful and has very few redeeming qualities but it gets me where I need to go. |

01 VW Golf TDI.
Current issues: - No Heat (Heater core clogged and I have no intention of fixing) - door locks (electric) no longer work and doors don't lock - shocks are shot I'm actually kind of hoping someone will steal the damn thing. If not, I will drive it till it dies. |

1992 Honda Civic Lx (as in deluxe because it has power windows and locks )
Gets atleast 30 mpg no matter where or how I drive it. |
98 Ford ranger Base model 2.5 liter standard
It isn't quick to accelerate, but runs at 75 MPH all day on AZ highways. Currently at 165,000 , and as long as it last me another 16 months through school, it will have done everything that I could ask it to! |
2002 Ford Taurus with 163k miles. Hope to get the beast to 200k.
92 Crown Vic civy version loaded - for comfy cruising to and from work.
07 Crown Vic Police Interceptor - for those days where I feel like nurturing my inner douchebag. Both have around 100k miles and run like they are new. They get mid 20's MPG on the highway. |
I used to roll a 1997 K1500, Silverado as my DD. I sold it when it hit 165k miles, the guy I sold it to said that he was going to only use it on the weekends as his nice truck.
One person's beater is another persons garage queen. |

95 Ranger POS. I keep saying that when it dies I will buy a new car. Problem is the fucker just keeps on going.

2004 Toyota Camry Whitebread Mass Produced Edition.
205k and counting. Car is like driving a funky old couch. |

Sold it to my stepfather and he threw it down the driveway. Sideways. Into a couple trees

2004 Passat. 213k miles. Clogged heater core. Luckily it has heated seats especially today when it was -2 driving in to work. The front right wheel is making some real funky noises and I am taking to a mechanic tomorrow.
1991 Toyota MR2 with 273,000 miles. However, I also have a newer backup car too for when I break things on the MR2 (and it takes weeks to months to get parts for it)... 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse with 126,000 miles. :-)

2004 Saturn Ion, about as bare bones a model as it gets. Used to get 38mpg out of it, but it has dropped to 35 or so. Ugly as hell but has never required anything aside from basic maintenance so far at 155K. Pretty sure I'll shed a few tears when this car finally takes a shit.
1996 Tacoma 2x4. 370,000 miles. 28 mpg and beat to shit. Bought it new. Still love it.
98 Grand Cherokee with about 160K and rusted out rocker panels. Oh wait, they all have that. (up north where roads are salted, anyway)
2000 Hyundai Tiburon I bought brand new 15 years ago in April. It's been a decent vehicle. Currently 141k miles on it. Desperately need a new vehicle but I want to wait until I get some other debt paid off.
99 Ford Explorer. No pic cause if you've seen one, you've seen em all.
98 ford ranger 4cyl with 250000 on it. drivers outside door handle dosnt work. shocks are gone, radiator is held in with blocks of wood and hose clamps. it makes new noises everyday. its tired and im just trying to limp it through for 2 more weeks, as the inspection is due and it wont pass without alot more money than its worth
