1996 Toyota Camry with 196000 on the clock.
My son bought it from my mom, she bought it new back in '96. Technically, it is "his" car, but he doesn't have his license yet and I pay for the insurance, so I drive it when the weather is too foul for the bike. |

98 honda civic with 180K on it. gets 32-35mpg; keeps my dakota off the road during the week.

'87 Chevy 3/4 Ton 4X4.
These trucks have inherent rust issues, and I use this to plow, so the body is in a sad state. |

2005 Focus wagon.
My first FWD, four-cylinder shitbox. I never thought I would own a small car, but the 35mpg is pretty nice compared to the F250. |
|
1989 4Runner. 281k on the clock. 3.0L engine runs smooth. Rides a tad rough, interior rattles like a snake, trans is in need of a flush, drinks fuel, muffler sounds like it has asthma. But ill be damned if this thing wont plow through a building or ten and then a forest and still work when Im done. Just kinda wish that 3.0 would die so I could drop something with more "oompf" in there, but that aint happening anytime soon. Damn I love this truck!

2001 Dodge Ram Quad cab 4x4 5.9L. 165,000 miles. Gets maybe 13mpg but runs and gets me where I am going every time.

1988 4Runner 235,000 miles 22RE 5 speed Drive it about 70 miles a day to work and back. It has kept a ton of miles of my 07 and 12 Tacomas since I bought it in 2010. http://i883.photobucket.com/albums/ac33/Bad-Bowtie/IMAG0469_zps4efa6b28.jpg View Quote Huh. I wondered what mine would look like with bigger tires, nice wheels, no running boards, and lifted a bit. How did you get yours to sit up like that? Looks nice. |

'83 mercedes 300D, I love my $600 wonder....gets ugly looks from everyone, gets 30mpg and I enjoy smoking out joggers with diesel soot
Also when the body falls apart, the engine is going in my cj7 |

I drive a 1994 Ford F-150 XL I bought 2 years ago for $2700.00. It was stored indoors most of its life and had only 55,000 miles, no rust and in great condition. Currently has 87,000 miles and has not missed a beat in 2 years. Been loving the $1.80- $1.90 gas prices since it only gets 16 mpg. What I have invested in it even if gas goes back over $3.00 still a great driver.

I have a 97 Saturn SC2 5 speed. It has like 165k I keep telling my wife and 11yr daughter that it will be her first car.
She says she would rather walk now, we will seen in a few years |

1998 Toyota Corolla. My daily carry cost more than this car.

2003 Z06 Daily Driver here....not sure I'd call her a beater tho
121k miles these days though shes gettin up there hehe. |

2000 Dodge Dakota. It was in perfect shape until two separate dickheads drove into it. It still gets me to work, but it's a struggle.

My non-winter beaters. I use my 1997 Corolla in the Michigan shitty winters, and use my other two beaters when it's not shitty. I'll take the TDI in the winter if the roads are DRY and free of salt and I have a long trip, while the 4Runner NEVER sees a Michigan winter. I hate salt. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk180/vmax84/IMGP1167r_zpsnhxoufgf.jpg Oh, the TDI has about 280,000 miles on it, and the 4Runner about 175,000. I rebulit the engine in it about 7 years ago. View Quote That's one clean MK4. |

I drive <3000 miles per year. No need for a beater car. I have had an excursion for 6 years and have put about 17k on it.

Years ago, a similar thread was started, but it was a contest asking who had the worst beater.
A guy posting a worked over blue Geo Metro held together with rope (and proved it was actually his and not a pic find) won big. Everybody's ragged out X or Y looked like a Lexus by comparison. |

1974 Ford F350 Ranger - Camper Edition - to my part time job and a 1999 honda civic to my fulltime job
Nothing like 6MPG cuz it's "Merica".....................and it's paid off |

2003 Saab 93. Bought for $2350 and 130k miles last year. Needed a bit of work, but it now drives and runs great. It's now at 141k miles and is my winter beater. Keeps my nice truck out of the salt. http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/emjohn4/IMG_0826_zps19ab53f2.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a113/emjohn4/_57_zpsc9173a99.jpg View Quote For the love of god, please clean that plastic trim and put some aerospace 303 on it. 1997 Corolla.
Gets at least 34 mpg no matter how I drive and even with letting it warm up in winter it's still over 34 mpg. |

'99 taurus se. 191k miles. Floor is so rusty I can push my fingers through from underneath if I wanted

2013 Silverado CC Z71 - 30,000 miles
Vehicles are a weakness. I want something new every year it seems, but now I'm married to this one. Once this one is paid off I will buy another new truck, but I promised myself only if I can lay down 50% and finance the remainder for 2 years max. I've learned my lesson. |

Quoted: 1550 about a year and a half ago. Got flamed about it here the other day in another thread...oh well. Done a little work to it but not much, less than $500 to get it in shape. 138,000Km on it now, runs like a champ and ready for a California road trip in the spring. http://i1121.photobucket.com/albums/l519/Dagger41/004_zps98875271.jpg View Quote Where all are you checking out? As for the thread - I drive an 02 Mustang GT with 97k on it. |
