Aww crap . In 2005, we communicated briefly through ARFCOM about IEDs while we were in Iraq. He was appreciative about my battalions efforts clearing IEDs in the Bayji area. He served another OIF tour I think 2 years later.

A 45-year-old Mount Penn man has died after a motorcycle accident on the Schuylkill Expressway in Philadelphia, officials said Friday.
Delaware River Port Authority police identified the victim as Patrick L. Smith, a retired Army lieutenant. According to police, three trucks were involved in the accident, which occurred Thursday about 6 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 near Broad Street and the Walt Whitman Bridge. Smith was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Police said the accident remains under investigation. Efforts to reach the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's office for death certificate information were unsuccessful. Rest in peace Lieutenant Smith . |
