Aww crap .  In 2005, we communicated briefly through ARFCOM about IEDs while we were in Iraq. He was appreciative about my battalions efforts clearing IEDs in the Bayji area.  He served another OIF tour I think 2 years later.

He even made the CAB avatar I have on right now for us to use on ARFCOM.

Stryker_11A was a good guy.

RIP

I made it for him, but it looks like he never had the chance to put it to use.

Rest In Peace, Stryker.

Damn. My unit replaced him in Bayji, Iraq in 2005. I didn't meet him but we knew common people and talked about Bayji a few times. He will be missed.

A 45-year-old Mount Penn man has died after a motorcycle accident on the Schuylkill Expressway in Philadelphia, officials said Friday.

Delaware River Port Authority police identified the victim as Patrick L. Smith, a retired Army lieutenant.

According to police, three trucks were involved in the accident, which occurred Thursday about 6 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 near Broad Street and the Walt Whitman Bridge.

Smith was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police said the accident remains under investigation.

Efforts to reach the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's office for death certificate information were unsuccessful.

Rest in peace Lieutenant Smith .
