Probably the most economical option would be this:

Two options that require no cash outlay are to ride the stock up further (get your face closer to the receiver) or sand the comb of the stock down until it fits you better.
I do the former on the one B1 I have with the standard M70 stock and it works fine for me. My other B1 has a M76 butt stock on it. |

Yeah I've been throwing around the idea of going with ace and putting on one of their folders, so expensive though.
I considered sanding the stock down, but I really hate to on this particular rifle. She was built off old parts and they're all matching numbers so don't want to mess it up if there's any collectable value there. |

If you still want the traditional look just with a better cheek weld then the M76 stock looks like an excellent option. I agree with you not wanting to alter the original stock for future collector/resale purposes.
