My build takes long...too long... But bring on the Honey Badgers! |
Both builds are worth the wait!
And besides it gives me something to look at while i wait on my stamp back for my Honey Bee! |

Has anyone considered re-purposing an M-231 PFW stock? Seems like it would be a neat project - that and some kydex could get one pretty close.

Still waiting on a tax stamp so I can order the barrel. It also needs the Hk416 rear sight (i have it, just forgot to put it on) and the burnt bronze cerekote and it'll be done. View Quote that really looks great, what barrel length is that mocked up for, 6ish? |
Yes. I've got some spare 30 Cal barrel segments sitting about. I think I'm going to just have one cut and chambered. I can install the receiver extension myself. It would be cheaper than buying a custom 6" barrel.

With video, guess this is a .223 Rem.
PWD Line up 7" PDW This is a short video of our Weapons Design Team testing the MMC Armory Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) in full auto. The PDW fires at a rate of 700-800 RPM. Currently, our PDW is the only rifle that has the ability to fire confidently in full auto setting. Unfortunately we are not offering the stock to be sold by itself at the moment. Link to video |

3Gun, thank you for starting this thread. It's been my favorite one, across the whole of the interwebs, this year.

Cool thread......
This has been on my mind for a long time....I've had a pistol with a 9.5" and a 7.62 suppressor that was SUPER quiet with subs. Also sitting on subs and supers without a rifle to shoot them with for over a year. |
Shot it again today, felt like it was the first time. Zeroed the Aimpoint at 20 meter. Supers only.
It made really nice and perfect holes in the paper, and seems very accurate. Looking forward to check it at 50, 100 meters and up. Shot it thru the chrono also, will make some calculations and get back. |
From my 7.5" barrel I got 1884 fps in average with the Remington Super 125 gr.
About +5C outside. |
Now that's badass right there. |

Ordered my NEA Compact Carbine Stock two days ago. Got the confirmation e-mail now I'm wondering if they send you a tracking e-mail as it's coming from Canada?

My stock came in, I'm still waiting on bolt parts, and I need to file a form 1 to dedicate a lower to the stock...but once I get the bolt part in, I should be able to get some decent photos of mine.
My upper is a 7.5" in .223, but I've been considering swapping it out for an 8" .300blk barrel...I like the idea of a heavier and bigger projectile in a barrel that short... |

That seems really short. How long is it? 7.5" |
Maybe it is just the pic but it sure looks shorter than that. My 7.5" has been hiding under a for end rail so it has been a long time since I have since it naked.
Perhaps the picture, but also it has no flash hider.
I now have a SureFire mounted. Looks much better than the Noveske. |
I'm about to order the parts I need to build a 5.56 PDW. I currently have an LMT factory SBR lower that I refinished in Burnt Bronze Cerakote. I'm thinking about buying a carbine length Aero Precision monolithic upper and finishing it in burnt bronze.
What are your thoughts on this upper? I have an 8" Rock Creek barrel lined up and I'm going to give the NEA stock a shot. I also plan to use my SF Mini on it with a T1 for optics. |
Yeah mine says delivery of 4/4 but I doubt it as I'm sure it will spend a few days in customs.

I gotta ask, I've heard "honey badger" references on different threads but what are they? Is it an integrally suppressed AR?

My question, in the testing booklet they have the Honey Badger at 124 decibels and a 9" 300 blackout AR (both I'm assuming with a sdn6) at 128 db.
How does the Honey badger platform squeeze out the extra 4 db and can it be duplicated on an AR? |
