Notice the three little screws that appear to "clamp" the light in the mount?  It's definitely not the same as the original rotational mount version, as it appears the mount is not integral to the light.

I might be late to the game here...but it's just one of their optional handheld WMX mounts. Don't think it's the military standard, but I'm liking it. BTW, with the WMX200 I've got here in black, do you think I should paint it, or leave it alone?

I love that I got my hands on one, but I'm not sure if I can justify keeping it black. What say you!

They make a handheld WMX, I'm pretty sure its just the handheld one with that separate rotational mount.

Blue Force Gear just released Multicam Arid and Multicam Tropic padded and non-padded VCAS. And since I sold my Coyote padded VCAS and HK style sling hooks (among other things) to fund my URG, I figured it's time to buy a replacement sling now. Went with Multicam Arid. Because Arizona desert and stuff. I think it's going to look rad.

You won't find any "in stock" anymore as Insight has ceased commercial sales on the WMX (at least to my knowledge).

My first one I picked up direct from Insight under their now defunct "individual military sales" program.  Got that one for sub $400.

The one I have right now I picked up on the second hand market for right around $400.

If you want one, keep your eye on the EE and move quick when you find one at a good price.

It looks sick as-is, I think it'll look even better. Something tells me I'll be stripping this thing until it's naked again (over time)

My dilemma is I love a painted rifle and a factory black rifle equally. Looking at all these service rifle pics is what made me want to strip. That and my block 2 had 6 inches of paint stacked up on it.

You know I never said TDs were never used, just not very common.

Then I told you that black EXPSs have been issued in relatively large numbers...and you told me they're not very common.

How is painting a black EXPS any different that painting a black rail?

NAS Crane had gone out to the armories and did the markings on site.  Some of the guns were refinished by Crane.  The guns are still listed as Mk18 Mod 1 in nomenclature but the guns are marked "Navy 18-1"

Lol, I know it's kind of funny, but I swear that we weren't lying to you. You're witnessing a significant change in cloning history!...at least information wise. While MK 18 Mod 1's don't don't appear to look any different from M4A1 CQBRs (A2 milspec lower profile, DD FDE MK 18 RIS II, Block II SOPMOD accessories, etc.), they are finally going to be recognized as a separate legit military designation...and highly cloneable

Pretty sure my M4A1 CQBR Block II clone just turned into a MK 18 Mod 1 clone
