Hola. Bought another Cav Arms lower yesterday, this time another Sabre Defense (Cav Arms Mk 2), but paid only $20. No take down pins ($10 from GWACS), but the magazine well is cracked down the front plastic weld. I'm gonna try it w/ bolts from Home Depot, and then I'm going to try to split it & the Mk 1 ARFCOM Cav Aid lower down the middle, and clone them.

They do make plastic welders that may work for sticking halfs together. CavArms & GWACS use sonic welders, as I understand. I'm not trying to put it back together, however. I'm trying to cut it apart. Once it's cloned, then I have two fairly brittle plastic halves, and will either use glue, 2-part epoxy, or a mixture of the brittle plastic itself, as essentially it is a 2-part epoxy. |
