This is probably a dupe, but i'm usually the last person on the information highway. Just received this in an email today. Has this been hashed out in the discussions here? And if so what is the overal concensus???? Thanks Please read and take action. Write your congressman and do whatever you can to stop this insanity. My questions is how is this going to affect our hunting priveleges - what happened to the "right to bear arms"???? I don't like this at all......I'd hate to think we wouldn't have our moose, caribou, or venison every year.......seems to me that this is the first step to eventually getting rid of guns all together - Pass this along to others if you like....... It has already started...Ammunition Accountability Legislation Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo! The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded. Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun! This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama , Arizona ,California , Connecticut ,Hawaii , Illinois , Indiana , Kentucky , Maryland , Mississippi , Missouri , New Jersey , New York , Pennsylvania , Rhode Island , South Carolina , Tennessee , and Washington . Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!! To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to: htm http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm; |

yes,
there are a few on here, including myself who have been designated as the ammo disposal managers. If you live in the Houston area, you're required to drop off your ammo at my address so I can dispose of it. thanks. |

The Government of the People's Republic of China has authorized me to collect ammunition for shipment to Chinese lead refineries and distribution centers inside the PRC.
You can earn up to Fifteen Yuan Renminbi per kilogram for ammunition containing lead which you send, with postage paid by me, to my collection office in Arizona. Since the alternative is to have the ammunition confiscated by FEMA after June 30th, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to profit during the continuing recession. Please direct all inquiries to me by PM. |

Does this mean that the jackass in bossier/shreveport who is buying all the 9mm ammo as soon as it hits the shelf at walmart will realize he's been an idiot and stop buying it after June 30th?

And if so what is the overal concensus???? The consensus is that you didn't bother to use the Search function. You are reposting one of the most reposted pieces of tripe in GD. By reposting it you only serve to perpetuate BS hysteria. There is no truth to it. Its ONE GUY trying to sell his lame ass patent. That one guy's offices are 10 blocks from my work. I have often had daydreams of "turning in " all of my ammo to him... DAYDREAMING... Just to clarify DAYDREAMING. |
