2015 Ram 2500 with the 6.4L. Bought it in November and it gave me something to do over the winter after we got done combining. Started out as a salvage pickup out of Colorado with blown front airbags/seat belts, a wrecked box, pushed in fuel tank, dented drive shaft and a dented rear cab corner.

I did all the work myself except the body work on the cab corner and bedliner below the style lines on the doors and cab corners. Tore the interior apart to replace the seat belts, airbag sensors, controller, air bags (which require a new dash for the passenger bag), steering column, etc. Replaced the drive shaft with a salvage unit. I was able to drain the fuel tank and heat the plastic tank with a heat gun and just reach in and pop it back out. Replaced some blown out brake lines and the broken vapor canister. Took the box and rear hitch off and replaced it with a CM skirted flat bed. Replaced the headlights with projectors and LED bulbs. Added clearance lamps on the roof. Replaced the stock muffler with a Mufflex unit. Dropped in a cold air intake. New Fuel Vapor rims (it had 3 discontinued rims with it, and 2 stock steel rims, so I figured I'd spend a bit more and get something I liked).

I just replaced the grille with a black aftermarket unit and ordered a Bodyguard T2 Extreme bumper/grille guard. Its also sporting new wheel to wheel  running boards that fit under the flat bed skirt so I have a better step than what's available with the flat bed. I also have a few LED off road lights that'll end up on the bumper and flat bed.

It's been a fun project and saved quite a bit of cash as well. I've got some before and during photos if anyone's interested. Mainly of the unholy mess behind the dash and creating a subframe for the flatbed to clear the gooseneck plate on the pickup.

Thank you!  Wanted something that will show dirt well.  Drive 8 miles of gravel roads everyday so I'll never have a clean truck

Congrats on the KR!

Put the ford to work last weekend. Not much compared to many here but it's about as heavy as I'll probably ever tow.

Yeah, I knew I wanted the longer bed, but not sure I really needed it now. At 157" wheelbase, it's a bitch to park

Thanks, I plan on leaving most of it the same.  Big plan is to make some detachable steel tube railing to go on the flatbed and attach a 20 gallon fuel tank expansion.

The number of times I wish I had a longer bed is far lower than the number of times I was thankful I didn't.

Get a shorter bed truck, get a trailer.  Carry more, frees up your bed, and lets you turn it into lockable storage.

agreed, i had a toolbox in mine for a few weeks, it was an old one i had in one of my 6.5ft bed trucks, took it back out and havent had a need for a longer bed, maybe ill buy an extender if i really need to, but i havent really has an issue even being in construction. also easier to put heavy shit nearer to the front of the bed to balance out the weight of pallets of concrete or pavers

1959 F-100 Project truck. I am planning a resto-Mod to it. My late grandpa bought it new in ‘59 when dad was born.

It has a 1960 or ‘61 tailgate on it and possibly a 289 from a Mercury Cougar. Either that or he had problems with the original valve covers, they’re stamped Mercury.

The driver’s side exhaust header wraps around the front of the block and meets with the passenger side.

I’m actually running 37x12.50 Toyo RTs on a stock suspension. I have very minor rubbing at full lock right turn, and zero running at full lock left turn. I had every intention of running a 2” BDS level, but then realized I could still fit in my garage as is, so I left it.
