Biggest effect has been the absurd temps, when its above 60 deg the mpg goes up. no loss in power, really won't see that until 35's. I have the 3.55 rear as well. eta: not sure of what a road trip would be mpg wise - but the week it was stock back in December I was at 18.5mpg around town, so I guess a 1-2mpg loss |

My 3rd gen Cummins dually is single-cab too, like it even better it's a really big single cab with lots of room behind the seats, 2.5t payload, and it's great towing especially when I've got to park a trailer someplace tight. |

thank ye. humvee ownership is truly for the dedicated. the father in law sold us a 2008 duramax for stupid cheap a few years ago, its too nice and low miles and wife uses it mainly to pull a trailer or buy shavings.
ive threatened to steal her drivetrain but she knows its a hollow threat. the horsepower and torque is out of this world in a different league than 94 hmmwv with a 6.5. but the vee fits comfortably like an old pair of crappy boots. and its MINE. no water bottles or doghair or pens laying around inside it when i go to drive it, because im the only one who drives it. any body style other than softop costs almost as much as the initial cost of the whole humvee, so this one should be staying this way for quite some time. it is often used for runs to lowes so the 7 foot bed comes in handy. im collecting parts for a 4 speed conversion because topspeed is a high rpm 55mph currently. but its a pretty involved process! |

So a couple of weeks ago, I paid off the 5th wheel below, that I brought home last summer. I towed it all summer with the 2003 2500HD Diesel. Attached File
I told my wife when we bought it that as soon as it was paid off, "I'm getting a new truck. She agreed. So on the 10th I paid off the trailer, and on the 11th I bought this 3500. She's not even mad. Attached File |

I really don't give a shit what you think.
