A litlle correction, IMBEL is brazilian, they are the state arsenals at Itajuba (Brazil), Argentine FAL´s are manufactured by the General Directorate of Military Factories (DGFM), also known as "Fabricaciones Militares" (Military Factories) in Rosario (Argentina).
Enjoy your gun

diesel, what's the barrel on that guy, and who made it?

It's having an identity problem with the grip and stock.

Looks like an IMBEL bipod cut barrel.  The rifle looks like one imported by springfield.

The stock set looks like WeaponArts brand.

AHHHH shawn the para carbine is exactly how I am having DSA build mine...scope mount, short interface handguard, back site with windage knob, and I went with the styer short FH....I picked up the stainless steal tactical carbine but I am having DSA duracoat it all.....once I get mine ill ship it out to ARS to shorten the LOP from 14.25 inches to maybe 12inches  $70 bucks to do the job

Shawn....that is the short gas system correct? I was thinking of going with the Tango down rail covers on my FAL when I get it...how do you like the fell? too bulky?.....also what type of rail cover is at the 6oclock position with the vertical grip. is it another Tango down that you cut down to size?
Link Posted: 4/3/2005 11:24:08 AM EDT
[#42]
Yep, short gas system.  The TD covers are a little bulky.  They add 1/4" to the handguards.  In the pic 10 posts up, the 3/9 o’clock covers were cut to fit only the rail.  In my last pic post is the full covers......I had to cut the bottom rear cover to make it go all the way back.  I also did the same to the 6 o’clock cover.  I like the TD covers because they look nice and I can modify them to cover the areas of my handguards that don't have rails.  If you want covers that are not bulky, check out the Falcon Industries or Magpul low profile rail ladders.  I have the low profiles on my FAL with the full length handguards and they work/feel great.

If you want additional info and pics about the mod I did to make the TD covers fit, send me an email.
