Sorry about the glare on the front handguards, but its the only way I could get the ammo to light up in the magazines.....

Link Posted: 4/19/2005 10:56:43 PM EDT
[#7]
Yeah Stickman, that glare is totally unacceptable.  That pic looks like crap.  You need more practice.  I'm ordering you to take pics of all your other guns using the same lighting until you get it right.
I need more desktop wallpaper material, you see.....

I like this wallpaper better, it has a clearer message.

Home brewed STG-58 on a gearlogo Imbel.  Just got done refinishing it in matte black Duracoat.  Turned out much better than I thought.

Here is a completely new FAL build, note my unique lower receiver, it is my own creation and addresses the accute shortcomings of the FALs iron sighting system and buttstock. The upper half is mostly DSA parts.

TA01B. It has illuminated cross hair, calibrated to 800 meters for .308.
I have thrown it on a couple of my ARs, and at ranges less than 100 feet or so, it is right  on.

ah ok looks like a TA31 :) anyone use that on there 308s?  do they zero in??

That is a hot lookin' FAL, hobbs.  I got to stop looking in these threads.  It's getting costly.

By the way, great avatar.

Cocobolo should look sweet, and I like the pairing of rifle-length FALs and wood even better.  Can't wait to see pics.

And thanks!

Thanks for the compliments.  Grkred, the vertical grip is a Tango Down.  I have put about 3,000rds through it.  The brass marks are there but, barely visible.

Me like, what page is the other one on?

I have tried to build a FAL with the original finish a couple of times, they always end up being refinished.

I think it's page 12.........I'm actually fighting the bug to gloss black moly-coat /new furniture this one.........I don't have the heart to take steel wool to a brand new STANAG mount to make it match the finish of the rest of the rifle!!!!!!

I'm still lookin for one of those early AR FSB's............will the parts quest ever end??????
