Could be the difference between a Mossberg or Remington version...

Here's the S-17 that finally came in for me. Well over a year of waiting to get it, and well worth the wait. I had my own gun converted.

Didn't realize it until just now, but I must have come through here a long time ago, because I saved that picture of your AOW on my comp. way back when as a perfect example of what I think of when I think of the ideal pump AOW.
Needless to say, I like your taste

Parkerized and walnut - what's not to love.
12" 870.  Due to the age probably a cut down.  Not even a bead on this brute.

perfect.

How do I turn this Winchester 1300 Defender:

into that?

I've already put the Speedfeed on my wishlist.

but, having read the thread, might it be simpler (and cheaper) to buy an AOW outright in Rem 870 format?

eta:

DIY = Form 1 ($200) plus 'hacksaw'?

SOT = Form 1 ($5) plus firearm price?

I'm pretty sure you can't build an AOW from a shotgun, you have to start with a bare receiver.

It has to be a shotgun that never had a stock on it. Like the mossbergs that only come with a pistol grip

Here is another photo of my S17 but I changed it by cutting off the Ch and moving it to the LH for me. Charging the handle is faster and my right hand never comes off the grip now...

I think you should send this photo to Benelli and I bet they would use it in a calander!!!!!!!!

Thanks man!  The Benelli M4 really has some good curves and lines that make it extra photogenic, in my opinion.  Shoots great too.

Here's my F1 Saiga12. Did the conversion, barrel cut&thread, and mill work on the VFG myself.

I haven't done anything yet with the old FCG holes, or refinish.

It's the killer of beer cans.

What you have there is more or less accurate.  AOW's are actually tough to find right now.  Although I know where one of the guns that you want is for sale right now.  It is $895 though.  You would come out a lot cheaper form 1ing your gun depending on how much someone would charge you to do the work.

Hey Slug-O. I like the LHCH mod. Just wondered about your perception of the CH as it reciprocates during firing? Does it affect you mentally, like it might hit you in the nose?

Thanks for any input.

A Krebs I got a few months ago. A friend put it in my collection while I was overseas and I did the paperwork when I got back.

An AOW my wife bought me for Christmas a few years after we were married.

Okay, i am drooling big time over some of these things.

I do have a request, Hopefully somebody out there has one of these. I'm looking for an 870 with a 14 inch barrel, Front bead sight, and a Houge 12" LOP stock. This is what I am considering for my HD gun and my next build.

Thanks allot guys, keep the pics coming
