Nice AR btw Well, the 9.5 FSP with the 10.5" barrel required a small dremel mod to the rail. I could only access 1 of the 2 clamp screws on the switchblock. I had to remove a small portion of the rail to allow access to the 2nd screw. I'll try and take a close up pic later today and post it. It is a bit of a PITA to get the rail and switchblock installed. Requires some finagaling (sp??). I'm not sure if a MK4-2000 will fit either. I'll find out here towards the end of the year when I get around to buying one. |

Here's a close up of the modification I had to make to the DD 9.5"FSP rail in order to fit the Noveske Switchblock in.
http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u247/SaturationTech/Closeup-1.jpg The frontmost screw was blocked by part of the rail. 2 quick horizontal cuts and a touchup pen and all is good. Oh, and man that thing has some range dust and crud on it...Need to get to cleaning. |

762CETME,
First, nice rifle, and excellent groups. Would you mind telling me what kind of trigger you are using? |

The trigger is from a run-of-the-mill CMMG LPK (CMMG I think makes a very good lower parts kit) and also I introduced a 10-32 “Superior Arms” style adjustment screw that runs behind and parallel to the lower's 1/4-28 grip screw to help things along too. It breaks at around 1 pound or so w/ very little creep once adjusted. Plus, I’ve added a steel shoe shown in the photo. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XCMMGLPK&groupid=53 |

Heres my SBR, its mostly done, just need a good pair of BUIS. Its a RRA upper and lower with a 10.5 in barrel, 1/7 twist. I put a DPMS LPK in because I wanted something that could handle some harsh circumstances better than your average match trigger. I also added a BAD lever and attached a YHM flash hider so I can put my can on. I did the paint job with some Krylon and fish netting. This is the first rifle I put together. Ive been very happy with RRA products in the past so I figured Id stick with a good thing.
I got the required engraving for it done by Jim of Harford engraving in MD. Hes a top notch guy, did the whole thing and added the skull I wanted in about 25 minutes. He was also very willing to answer all of my questions, all in all; I highly recommend his services. http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j237/Kiku_Sui/downsized_0309001329.jpg http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j237/Kiku_Sui/IMG_1430e.jpg |

Here, I’ll showboat around a few more pics of my other creation sourced from TNW and CenterFire Systems that I finished-up about 4-5 months ago… Overall I’m very pleased w/ it and it shoots great too!… The only somewhat minor complaint is w/ my Rock River LPK, which despite all the hype, was not nearly as nice as the CMMG LPKs’ I used in the past, but that has no bearing on the quality of the lower receiver itself…
$69 for the upper and $69 for the lower, I think that it was very good value… Lower Receiver – TNW ~~ On Sale for $69- http://www.centerfiresystems.com/ARLOWER-MACH.aspx Upper Reciever – TNW ~~ $69- http://www.centerfiresystems.com/arup-a3stripped.aspx Bolt Carrier –– Daniel Defense (I’ve milled around an inch off the inside 'lip' of the tail end of the bolt carrier to permanently comvert it from an M16's layout to an AR15's) ~~ $135- http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XDD9300&groupid=55 Grip –– Magpul MOE ~~ $19.99 http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XMAG415DKEAR&groupid=58 Barrel – DPMS ~~ On sale $145- http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=117068 Free Float Hand Guard – DPMS ~~ $52- (If you broil a black anodized surface finish at 600 degrees for an hour or more it turns a gold/copper color…) http://www.pkfirearms.com LPK – Rock River Standard Two Stage Trigger (Gun Broker – Grand Total –– $62-) Butt Stock – Home Depot ~~ $25ish Recoil Pad – Herters (Gun Broker – Grand Total ~~ $16) And then add in another $100 –– $150 for all the other bits and pieces So, I’ve around $700ish in rifle itself and then add in the scope w/ its mount it's more like $785ish grand total… The ammo it likes the best is Fiocchi 40gr and 50gr .223 and it does very well w/ the standard M193 stuff too! http://i930.photobucket.com/albums/ad149/762CETME/2.jpg http://i930.photobucket.com/albums/ad149/762CETME/1.jpghttp://i930.photobucket.com/albums/ad149/762CETME/3.jpg |

First time posting a picture on here, this is also my first build. Inspired by the Colt Model 605, but with improvements built in like a match barrel, and A2 sights. I think this would best decried as an A1 dissipator. The buttstock and handguard are both surplus A1. White Oak Armament 16" stainless steel barrel, wylde chamber, 1/8 twist, mid length gas system and a three prong flash hider. Rock River Arms lower, A2 upper, bolt carrier group, and 2 stage match trigger. C-More CSCT I had help from a friend who does quite a bit of builds, so it came out really well, with a very smooth action. I have only had a chance to break it in, indoors at 25 yards, so true accuracy and performance are yet to be determined. |
