My first pistol build (and first full up AR build)
Done on an 80%. With an A1 kit providing the upper. On older bushmaster M4 barrel (from the AWB days) that I cut down and threaded. Bored out the threads and welded a ring on the buffer to to capture an sling mount I made. Friend of mines wife did the laser engraving on the receiver. href=http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m300/kiloechoxray/IMG_0775.jpg" /> |

PLEASE PLease tell me about the muzzle end of that barrel... behind the pig!

Thanks Optics were sitting in the safe from my first 3 gun rig and most of the parts were take off's or spare's laying around. I was worried that the PWS FSC brake would be too much on a 11.5 upper but IMO its not much louder than the brakes on my 16" and 18" rifles. Sig really came through with a great product as well |

I have lurked AR15.com for over a year now, getting ideas from you guys and finding fixes to problems. I finally joined and decided to share some of the firearms you have all influenced.
RRA7.5" Upper (I have plans to get a KX3 and longer handguard) Spikes Lower with pistol buffer Magpul BAD Lever SightMark red dot Homemade case with foam insert http://i1333.photobucket.com/albums/w625/zavalaoscarl/Guns/IMG_3437_zps218995f1.jpg http://i1333.photobucket.com/albums/w625/zavalaoscarl/Guns/IMG_3444_zpsf16bfd5f.jpg http://i1333.photobucket.com/albums/w625/zavalaoscarl/Guns/IMG_3486_zps41abbe16.jpg EDIT: That's a Weaver MicroDot in the first two pictures, I replaced it with the SightMark after the first trip out to shoot it. |

You guys with 7inch uppers namely RRA factory 7inchers- do you have any functioning problems at all? Is the 7inch pretty reliable ?

View Quote To be honest not a fan of Parallax Tactical. Heard some interesting things about them. Word of advice for what my opinion is worth look at another handguard. |

Its only 4 minutes and it will be over with! If you need to puke go outside.
Beginners work on trajectories and come ups, masters work on doping the wind. The later keeps challenging me. - Me! |
|
I have been a customer of there before they even got big. I live a stones throw from the shop. I have seen customer service and quality of the products start to slip from what I am used to and have had from them in the past. For the cost I just think that there are better handguard out there.

I can understand that. I have to order everything or drive an hour and really like the contour of this guard. I'll let you all know if it scratches up easily or breaks. I'm not the nicest with my "tools" so I'll keep you informed

I got it at a gun show in Houston about a year ago for $600. It has the M16 bolt carrier, not that I would ever need it. So far it has had about 700 rounds of brass without an issue. I have run about 200 rounds of steel case and 1 out of 10 would have to be knocked out of the chamber. I have tried Monarch and Tul Ammo steel case. No more steel for it. I still want to get the KX3, not so much for reliability but to reduce the teeth chattering blast wave of it. |

if you run into issues with your SBR cycling - look into pigtail gas tubes and different springs/buffers

And did you try putting the 45 irons on the right side and just rolling the gun over, keeping the same cheek weld? It's a lot more natural than resting the buffer tube on your eye socket with no shoulder perch. |
