Very nice, I have one in the works that will look exactly like this..... Well at least during the wait for my F1 to magically appear.
Very nice.
RRA LAR 15, 7.5"
Bastardized 9mm pistol in the works.
Barrel ends 1/2 " inside forearm, working on something to extend it 1 to 2 " beyond.

My 9mm pistol is (mostly) complete:
-CMMG Lower, Ramped BCG, & Charging Handle
-Hahn Dedicated Mag Block
-PSA LPK & Pistol Buffer Tube
-MOE Grip & ASAP Single Point Sling Mount
-RRA 9mm Upper
-Adco 5" 9mm Barrel threaded 1/2x36
-Spike's 7" BAR Handguard/Rail and ET-2 Fake Suppressor
-Blackhawk Single Point Sling
-Daniel Defense Front and Rear Fixed Sights
-Metalform 32 round Magazine
-Upper assembled by Adco
What I am missing:
-Some kind of optic
-Real Suppressor (waiting on tax stamp)
-CMMG Dedicated 9mm Lower with MOE stock (waiting on other tax stamp)
Here is the upper with the real suppressor that is being held hostage at my dealer:
I just finished this build, hoping to get out and shoot it next weekend. Also need to find a better way of locking the CAA saddle unto the buffer tube. Its loose and slides off or around too easily.
That Spikes BAR is just too sweet..
My First AR15 Pistol Build
300 AAC Blackout
11.3" Wilson match bbl
YHM Forend/ Low pro gas block
Ace pistol Buffer
Dpms lpk
Surplus Ammo Lower receiver
Just a Start, Deciding on optic/ sights/ pistol grip.....
Sorry for poor pic quality, had cell phone handy...
Spikes 11.5 LW barrel 1/8 twist
Spikes BCG
Spikes LPK
PSA upper
PSA Lower
DSA buffer tube kit
Troy claymore muzzle break
Knights URX II rail
A work in progress, but functional at this point.
Loving all of the KAC URX action!
What do you have covering your buffer tube?

Walker/Cane rubber tip and Tennis Overgrip or I believe Replacement Grip Wrap for tennis racket handles that can be bought at any sporting goods store. I got mine at Sports Authority or Academy for about $6 ... it was the Gamma Brand. Here is a link to give you ideas. I had a brown leather one previously but decided to go with the black.

There seems to be quite a few people recently throwing on a standard buffer tube and calling it a pistol... I thought that wasn't kosher.

It's perfectly kosher.
I almost went that route, but I was going to have to buy a tube regardless, so I bought a $25 RRA tube, just to always have a dedicated pistol lower, should the BATFE get more goofy.

In the words of Buford "Mad Dog" Tannon, "You thought wrong, dude." A shoulder stock is what makes a short barreled AR15 an SBR, not the ability to mount one. It only becomes "not kosher" if you install a buttstock, however the ATF recommmends not having a compatible stock in proximity to your AR pistol, so that there is no doubt that you do not intend to make it into an SBR. Most guys that have pistol buffer tubes have them so they there is absolutely no question of it being an sbr from authorities that aren't always 100% clear on the laws. Regular buffer tubes are totally legal on a pistol. I think the ATF just understands that if you have an AR pistol, and you also have a buttstock that you could slide onto that pistol, at some point the temptation may be too much for some people and they may install that buttstock. That would then be an illegal SBR, even if it was just in the privacy of your own home. You aren't actually breaking the law until you install the buttstock, but just to be safe, you should probably have a friend hold onto the stock until the tax stamp comes in, so the BRD doesn't tempt you into making a bad decision. Check the AR pistol ATF letter scans thread:

There are some bad @ss pistols in this thread. Can't wait to get started on mine!
Still need to get some different BUIS on it, can't decide what to go with..
