Ha, not sure, it's not capable of functioning as a semi-auto when folded, as in you'll damage things trying to fire it.

Here's my first AR build. Ordering ammo this week to try her out. Love how she came out,
Spec sheet:

PSA upper and lower
Magpul trigger guard
Magpul MOE+ grip FDE
Magpul PMAG(will be ordering 20rd fde for this pistol)
BCM Gun fighter mod4 charging handle
PSA Auto BCG
J&T Distribution pistol buffer tube
Rainier Arms Match 8.5" 300aac barrel
Low pro gas block set screw dimpled and pinned
Samson 7.6" rail
AAC 51t flash hider with qd for suppressor(this will be in the future)
bushnell trs25 red dot

Still have a few things I want to add in the near future but this is the jist of it.

i updated my pistol yesterday.  Although I think it looks rather clumbsy, it really does improve the, uh..., single handed firing capabilities of the ar pistol, yeah, uh huh, ...that.

Haha.

Yeah I have been toying with the idea of picking one of those up for my pistol build that is sitting in parts back home. It's laughable to me that the powers that be don't just say fuck it and allow tax-free SBRs at this point. Oh well.

now having one, I'd say do it, get one.  It really is legitimately good.  Before I got one, I kinda scoffed at the idea.  But having one, besides it looking clumsy (I really like how my pistol looked without, but was on the verge of selling due to the impracticality), its truly a great alternative to the SBR route.  I was at a gun show, couldnt find anything else I was gonna spend money on so took a chance on it and took it home.  I love it

I see no pistol, I see an SBR.

Seeing your post count, I hope you know the difference...

You're listed as being in USA, but the rifle says Italy?

I think pistol or sbr is only a legal difference  and this is a pistol. I come from europe and stay in usa for work for many month a year.

So that gun is back home in Europe, right?  Because here in the US that is a short barreled rifle, not a pistol.
If it's in the US, has a barrel less than 16", has a stock, and is not properly registered as a SBR, it could land you in federal prison.

It's stupid, but those are the laws since 1934...

Same goes for suppressors.

In the UK it's almost impossible to own a semi-auto rifle as a civilian, but you can purchase suppressors at the hardware store...

pretty sure a comp is zero effective as a flash hider on such a short barrel.  But like the other poster said...whatever floats your boat.  hero

So you call an SBR a "pistol", which I hope to God you left back home, because here you would have a felony charge if caught with it.
Ignorance of the law is not a valid defense.

You call a JP tank brake a "Flash Hider"

Have you ever shot the thing in the dark?  It ain't hiding no flash...

Things like the Vortex and the Blackout are flash hiders, because they do a very good job of, you know,  hiding the flash.

Bead blasted, & Then finished with scotch-brite pad for a brushed look. The great thing is, if it gets a scratch or blemish all you have to do is put some more scratches on it (in a uniform fashion)

writing in English I make some mistakes, but certainly less than you do writing in Italian or German or French . if you do not like what I write, just pass over and go read something else

probably you don't know but the USA law do not apply to all the World. "SBR" do not exist in europe, my Ar15 is stated a s an handgun and of course is not in the USA. that allow  to call it "pistol" without make any error
borders of the world where you live are very close to your home.

No, you just failed to answer the question until now.  I understand perfectly well that US law is not worldwide law.
And don't make assumptions, you don't know a single thing about any one of us beyond what we have put in our posts.

The only reason I asked is that some of us don't like to see fellow shooters end up in trouble for something as simple as not understanding the law. We look out for each other, simple as that.

If you were unaware of the law, and that rifle was here in the US, you wouldn't be the first person to post something illegal on here, and be warned that it was illegal and should be taken down, only to argue and moan about it, showing their ignorance, until site staff took it down for them.

Lose the attitude and don't try to play the "holier than thou" game and you'll get along with people better.

I'm really sorry, I misunderstood your posts and yes today is a bad day here at work. My Ar is fully legal because I own and use it outside the USA but in central europe (similar law apply to almost all euro countries). There's some restrictions only if the AR has a standard military caliber like 5.56x45, 7.62x39,  7.62x51, 9x19  ecc. ecc. no problem or restrictions for the other calibers like 300aac, 222rem, all other rifle and pistol calibers.

Very nice looking rifle, although I'm a bit confused by the muzzle brake. Have you fired it yet? I ask because a brake like that on such a short barrel must be intolerably loud.

Are muzzle brakes which re-direct the concussion (such as the Noveske Pig, Troy Claymore, Kies Blastmaster, etc.) available and legal in your country?

I'm starting to like this gun a lot without a stock. My carbines all have A2 stubby stocks.
