It was a DSA stripped lower receiver. I used a LPK and extension tube from PSA.

The more I see those Magpul rifle stocks... the more I want to dump the UBR for one...

Think I'll wait until I get one with a real rifle length gas system instead.

Thanks.  It's a 212.  Local Surefire dealer got a few additional ones in at a good price and I scooped one up.  Got it right after Christmas, forms turned in late June.

I wanted to get a color similar to the SOPMOD Block II RIS, so I took some Rust-Oleum Camo Brown and some Rust-Oleum Metallic Copper (?) and went to town on my $50 Botach CAA X6.  I think it turned out pretty well!

The base was the flat brown and while it was still wet, I sprayed the metallic from a distance to get some sparkle to it.  My only problem is that it has a gritty feel to it now...maybe some sort of clear sealer is needed.

From Noveske Rifleworks...

(just playin')...There were a ton on EE right before the poop hit the prop. They were going for between $220 (chainsaw) - $280 (non-chainsaw).

Edit:

The FDE ones are Cerakoted by various companies.

Here it is guys. I don't want this to get too political, but I just cant stand what I see and read in the paper these days.

I've created a logo intended for pic threads of firearms. I don't thinking I'm crossing any forum lines if its just an image people use.
The logo I made is simple and and clear so people can use it and spread it around. It is a logo that represents our freedom and rights, (more particularly out 2nd amendment rights) being stripped away from us. Pass it around! Place it on every image as a water mark. I would like to see it more often so people can get the message out. Some times an image can send a powerful image. It can represent something. It can be subtle enough that people know where you stand, without having to say so.  If you think its a little rediculous then...I guess its not for you.

As for me, you will see it on more images I post. Not all, but more often. It will be a constant reminder that our liberties are under attack. And people need to have a voice and come together..even in pic threads.

Here it is. I'll add a link as well to my Flickr page so people can download the high resolution image for personal use. Also if you want the illustrator file to make t-shirts and vinyl stickers etc just IM me.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!  that is all I'll say further on this thread.

Here is the logo:

The fist is probably not going to be accepted well.

Reason being, first thing that popped in my mind is commie, solidarity, union, etc...

Anyone who is politically astute, and that will be easy to find on ARFCOM and among others in the firearm community may have the same viewpoint.

The "fist of resistance" is a known symbol of resistance globally.  Not just in the illustration you provided.  Its been a symbol of resistance for many years.

Since youre not getting it, allow me to elaborate. Im not sure if you are trolling or what.

Now, I can go on and on and on, but the thread is coming near derailed. Maybe you should educate yourself a little more instead of defend your artwork and its imagery that symbolizes communism, socialism, tyranny, and murder...
I see your image and think, hey it could make a cool Eagle... The Eagle can symbolize and may be associated with the US and our freedoms we hold so dear. Something to think about.

Crap...I'll need to re-think this maybe lol. Thanks for sharing. I looked into it more. I was under the impression that it was a universal symbol of resistance, I had no idea it was so often used to reflect socialism. I'll have to..change it maybe. if you just google "resist" it comes up with lots of fist of resistance. I'm not sure what I think. I'll brainstorm on the topic and try something else maybe. ideas?
