Sorry to post this comment here-but did MFingar or Mark ever post up how they did the black lettering on the Surefire, EOTechs, etc. on that dark earth M4? I don't think it was ever revealed and everyone was going crazy about it. Trade secret?

I now have a Magpul FDE stock on it and the colors dont match very well and the coyote is just a bit too light, but while I painted the rifle 3 years ago it has held up pretty well, it has a couple nicks on the shell deflector but other than that no other scratches but some powder burns which are impossible to get out of the paint. If I was to do it again, I think I would use Ceracoat Coyote Tan because the color is just a bit darker and reportedly is more durable. |

I have seen a few people with just a FDE stock or somthing like that but it looks pretty silly to me. the whole reason you go for FDE is to camo your AR for jungle/urban/desert type areas but I guess it also looks cool.. |
