He should ask his maintenance guy if his cousins like his toys.

That's the cousin I would bring. Or just pay a locksmith to come out and open it while you are at work if you pull consistent shifts. |

When my liberty fatboy safe dial broke, an arfcommer/locksmith had it open in under two minutes. A single large duffle bag could have hauled that gear out to a truck in one trip, and I guess he had his keys hanging up on a wall somewhere. Just so you know. I have since decided that the temp/movement/WIFI connected sensor and a motion camera outside of the safe matter more than the safe itself. |

. It was two guys and a female. They were in his apartment for approx two hours between 0200-0400. To make matters worse, he is overseas. None of the neighbors knew it even happened.
Edit: it was two females and one male. Also see that OP is talking directly to the guy that was burglarized. |

Hope they can make out some IDs from said video. And post video if you can.

I've got to ask.
They not only got into what we now know to be a apartment. They (thieves) got into his safe and we to (what looks like a parking structure, or garage) and found his motorcycle and grabbed that too? No one saw three people carrying out multiple rifles and other assorted gear? He has a camera in the apartment, but no alarm? A $1,600 custom made bolt action with a Night Force scope, but he lives in a apartment? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Damn is that OBR serial number 00017, as in the seventeenth OBR ever built? That's a pretty low serial number. Like possibly collectible low.

More than one guy because someone had to drive the four wheel vehicle away from the scene. Sorry OP I feel your friends pain as I have been hit before. Is it possible to gives us details of the safe such as make and model and how they got into it?? Was it bolted down? This might seem trivial but it does help some of us. |

Who gives a flying fuck that he lives in an apartment if you see or have any leads on this gear that info would help a lot more.
He is currently serving and overseas right now so dealing with this stuff can't be easy for him. |

Sounds like the new styled "boating accident"..........
Sorry for your friends loss, it was insured right? |

That's not a random burglary.
Someone who knew just the right apartment, with that big of a haul, and how to crack a safe and lift a bike? They've been in his apartment before, or talked to someone who has. |

Hey people's places get burglarized daily in America. So what if the guy lived in an apartment. He might not want to own a house presently and even so last I heard just because you live in an apartment there is is no rule that says you can't own a nice arsenal of firearms. Hell at least the guy had a safe. WTF. |

Suggest cross posting in WAHTF and in the Waguns BOLO forum.
Friend of mine had a rifle and scope stolen from his truck. The scope showed up in a pawn shop downtown, SN matched the BOLO list, the shop owner let the perp walk before calling it in. |

Not to give a false sense of hope as I can't be 100% certain it was the same bike but.. I might have seen it in woodinville/redmond yesterday. I remember seeing the slip-ons and rolling my window down to hear it.

The immobilizer system on the Monster will not allow someone to start the bike or even get it to crank without a key that disables the immobilizer. They had to have found keys. That being said, start looking for parts showing up on ebay. Nobody is going to be able to ride or sell that whole bike. It would be fairly easy to spot the bike. The Duc network is small up there. |

Don't take this wrong but the only safes I know of that have bypass keys are non UL rated safes. If it was a UL rated safe and most but not all Liberty's are UL rated then they did not use some sort of key because the only key there is on a UL rated lock just locks the dial from turning. I sincerely hope these assholes are caught and most if not all his shit is returned. |
