VERDAD is proud to once again host the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI) Master Instructor Development October 20-22, 2014. This years training will be Low Light Threat Management. Registration and information can be found here: IALEFI
Contact VERDAD office with any questions 315-453-3660
The collective law enforcement experience of the last 160 years illustrates that most police action shootings occur under reduced light conditions. Additionally, the vast majority of law enforcement officers feloniously killed in the line of duty are lost between 6 pm and 6 am. In order for training in any defensive discipline to be valid, it must match the pattern of the anticipated encounter. Ironically, a great many law enforcement firearms training programs are grossly deficient in this area and fail to prepare their officers for a deadly encounter in poor light.

This program is designed to provide state-of-the-art, street relevant training to law enforcement firearms instructors so they can better prepare their officers for the harsh realities of managing one or more threats in poor light. At the conclusion of the training, participants will be able to make sound recommendations to their agency and provide training in this critical area.

Course Requirements:
1) Pistol and holster, 400 rounds, and 10 dummy rounds

2) Semi-auto rifle with a sling, 300 rounds and 3 magazines

3) Shotgun, pistol, 120 rounds (at least 20 rounds buckshot, 10 rounds slugs, bird shot okay for the rest).

4) A Black Marker, wrap around eye protection, ear protection and brimmed hat

5) Hydration fluids and snacks

6) Flashlight
