NO CAN DO. Anybody that helps(puts their hands on or sets up) is then considered a manufacturer of firearm and would need a license. YOU must do all said work to mill and drill out to legally own. This is way I have heard on a 80%.
As to somebody saying/directing what tool to use, and how to use the machinery, I think is ok, but they can't in any way touch or handle the receiver, which would require handling, when fitting the jig. No money must be involved or talked about--especially in public. Of course I'm CYA as most legal owner's here would. We're here to help---but there's rules to be legal on finishing 80% lowers. |

There is a company, I think with a name like 80%upper.com that sells a jig to guide your drilling. the web site also has complete directions posted,so you can decide before purchase, if you want to get that involved.

There is at LEAST 20 different companies selling jigs, I'm sure there are SEVERAL more.
Research your Jig carefully, it's DAMN critical. Here are a few... 80 Percent Arms Universal Jig Easy Jig Ares Armor Elite Tactical Elite Force CNC Guns Wine Country Weapons Colfax Tactical KE Arms Personal favorites... Easy Jig looks DAMN interesting on how you complete it. (I think I'm going to try this one) CNC Guns has been in the Jig business for YEARS and has a great reputation. |

snip...Easy Jig™. It truly makes finishing your lower a monkey simple process.  . That's funny... I haven't been tempted to "make my own" lower since the JPFO bolt together lowers came out but that jig does make it look alot simpler.

Link This makes finishing a receiver stupid easy (trust me, I need stupid easy) All you have to do is.. Cut the fire control pocket Cut the trigger slot Drill the hammer & trigger pin holes Drill the safety hole Most people are reporting around one hour completion time. |

Yea, if you bought one, I'm assuming you know what you are doing because nobody can help you.
Lowers complete are ~50.00, I just don't see a reason myself, but that's just me being lazy probably.
