I was a member when it was in kc out on brickyard road but that was many years ago. i think it cost me somewhere around twentyfive bucks and then it started going up every year until it hit an amount that i couldnt afford at the time so we parted company. i havent been to the new rang and wouldnt know anyone there anymore as most of the old bunch that took me under thier wings are dead now. check it out tho it was a good bunch of people.

I've never been there, but I've heard positive things about it and from looking at the site, it looks pretty nice...

I'm pretty sure several members there are also regular readers here, I can't beleive they have not chimed in...

I had considered joining it, but its a bit further out west than I want to drive on a regular basis and I think twice the cost to join, and atleast 50.00 more a year to renew...

Things to consider (for any range/club)

How far do you live from it?

How often do you think you'd get to go?

What will you be shooting?

One of their biggest Pluses to me is they have a few benches you can stretch out to 600 Yard...  Not many have that....

You ought to see if any fellow members here will take you as a guest and show ya the ropes....  See if you like it enought to plunk down the cash...

Not sure about benchrest however I am a member out at Missouri Gun & Quail Club in Wright City.  I'm not sure what type of shooting you're looking to do but they have rifle benches out to 200 yards, a pistol range out to about 7-10 yards and a nice skeet and trap setup.  They also stock quail for about $4 a bird if you're into that and they have two fishing holes.  Most times I'm out there I have the whole place basically to myself.  First year dues are $210 which includes a $50 initiation fee and then it is $160 a year after that.  Thought I'd give another option in that area.

Whtsmoke,

BRRC was in Bridgeton in St. Louis, then moved out to north of wight city, west of St. Louis about 35 miles. Dont think it was ever over on the west side by K.C.

I am a member and yes I do think it is worth the 450 the first year. But hey tell you what I can meet up with you sometime and we can go out and take a tour of the place. Then see if the other gent will take you for a tour of his range. Then you decide. Sound good? If so, drop me an IM and I will provide you with a phone number.

Max

Ive been to Benchrest several times as a guest. I also kicked out a guy that was on the handgun range shooting a 7mm Ultra mag at pistol steel, at 20 yards. It is a very nice range.

If you want a tour, let me know.  So far no one has taken up my offer.

Not a problem AeroE. My Alpha wave coil is out of tune and so I have to ask all of those dumb questions.
