Well, since the Democrats have seen fit to deign we mere peasants pistols with threaded barrels (unless they are pre-ban), then you would only have to really worry about rifle caliber cans. You start out with a .22 can for fun. Of course, if you are only shooting rifles, you can start out with a 5.56 can, as it will cover .22s as well (just larger, heavier, and pricier than a .22 can). Then, get a .30 can to cover everything else. So, 2-3 cans could cover you from .22 to .308! The suppressor is the NFA item, so as long as CT doesn't change the laws again, you can put the same can on any rifle you want (as long as it's not a .22 with a pistol grip, no threads allowed). I think we should not hijack this thread, and turn it into a discussion of good/bad cops.
It is obvious that the answer to the OP's question is, it depends! GENERALY, the more rural the area is, the more shooting friendly it is. Of course, in the more affluent the communities, the PC patrol will call the cops on you in a heartbeat, so the best advise given here is to call town hall and the PD. Another piece of advise is to buy suppressors!
i would but isnt suppressors a $200 tax stamp for each one? that will add up quick! lol
