SATURDAY, APRIL 5th, the CCDL is calling for a Pro-2A rally at the steps of the Hartford Capitol.
There is a ton of a heads up and its a fucking Saturday, there shall be no valid excuse to be out of attendance. (barring death's etc) I expect to see there - each and every body who has read this far in this post. Guys, we got decent turn outs multiple times running a no huddle offense last April. Decent is a disappointment, decent isn't fucking good enough. We've got 3 months to design and call a play this time. Lets make this un-fucking-ignorable, lets make sure the nation turns its head for this one. Lets make sure our traitorous, treasonous legislators, reps and senators are sweating bullets when our dust settles. When this day is out, they should all be sleeping with their heads under the fucking covers. I know your all as sick to fucking death as me about SB1160 amongst other issues. We are fucking here, we are fucking fighting and this is our best and last peaceful fucking option to prove it. This is one of our only outlets to collectively make a difference, to make our voice heard. Lets make this one count, guys. I won't rest until I expect 100,000 people. Discuss everything in here. Signage, advertising, meets, literature & handouts etc, tables, food, parking - you name it, this is the thread for it. We need to get EVERY SINGLE bullet buying gun owning mother fucker in this state, and then some, in on this shit! We need to get the people pumped and ready to fucking roll. <edit to boldface title and make sticky - modrapos Link to Facebook Group Page, CCDL Rally CARRYING: ALL LAWFUL FORMS OF CARRY ARE ALLOWED. I'll be there with the whole family.
I wish someone would have planned a rally 2 weeks preceding election day. That's the time to be heard. |
|
I will be there with my son, and get as many guys possible to come… thanks for the heads up.
|
|
I'll be there.....going to drag along some of my normally do nothing friends that shoot too!
|
|

I feel it's not notice that is the issue for turnout, it's the lazy gun owners that affects it.
I know at least 10 that didn't do ANYTHING last year. Even with my warnings and invites to events. Told them "don't want to hear it", "where were you", and "fuck off" when they were complaining to me afterwards about the laws. I will be there, like every other event last year. I will try to convince some lazy's to come with me by bribing them with a lunch, gun shop tour or something else sadly. Key is to bring a lazy gun owning or non owning friend with you. |
|
In. May be able to bring at least three or four others in the truck, if anyone wants to carpool.
|
|
Saw this on CCDL and even though normally work Saturdays have already put in for that day off. Will be bringing friends as well. I hope this is just the first of massive public displays and publicity right on up to election day. FDM

Can we get Mark Vanderbough again?
He has been launching felenous torpedoes to top democrat legislators and the heads of citizens against gun violence in the form of hi cap mags to taunt them from beyond their reach. Torpedoes Los! |

See you all there. |

It's probably because it's the day after the 1 year anniversary of SB1160 becoming law. That, and it's plenty of advanced notice to hopefully get a huge turnout. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Why April? What makes April the month to protest? It's probably because it's the day after the 1 year anniversary of SB1160 becoming law. That, and it's plenty of advanced notice to hopefully get a huge turnout. That is exactly what they said in their email. |

What can you hunt in the beginning of April? Turkey open that early?

I can't fish, so I'll guess I have to go.
Not that I think it's going to get us anywhere or do anything to help our cause . Just figured to do my part and how some support |

I am in, and 100% as is my wife, and dragging a couple dead beat friends who would never be motivated enough to drive themselves. But the pessimist in me says the turnout will be far less than last years protests and will be an utter disappointment as usual. Seems only 1% of gun owners even care.

Damn, I searched back 8 pages, TWICE, before I realized this was tacked.
I've added a link in the OP that brings you to a facebook group designated strictly for this rally, run by the CCDL. If you have facebook, I implore you to invite all your friends through this avenue as well. Why not . . . If nothing else you'll anger a lib. This is the link that will be in the OP as well. It has the current carry laws in there as well, for carrying to the rally. Basically, no AW's or DD's. Anything else goes. |

From the CCDL Facebook Group Page:
ALL LAWFUL FORMS OF CARRY ARE ALLOWED. It is lawful to carry a gun on the grounds of the State Capitol. It is lawful to open carry. It is not lawful to carry a so-called "assault weapon" as defined by Public Act 13-3 and 13-220. It is not lawful to carry inside the Capitol building. It is not lawful to carry in Bushnell Park. I am adding this to the OP as well. |

Well have to wait and see as we get closer, but I'd wager with an outlook like this one, they will be busing from the Cabelas parking lot again. Thats just me speculating, though. |

anyone planning to open carry an aids cannon?
... perhaps a .22lr that looks assaulty? |
|
If it's anything like last year after the ban passed, douchebag gun owners will be the ones bitching and calling you out on what's legal, not the police.
We're our own worst enemy, as usual. |

Former CT resident here looking to attend the rally.
Even without a CT concealed permit or CT DL, am I OK to sling a K98k? Or should I just show up with a sign? I left CT to work in RI, but I want my state back! |
