So Seattle times has another hit piece about lead and gun ranges.  This time they are focusing on the ranges that police use. http://projects.seattletimes.com/2014/loaded-with-lead/4/

Just another anti-2nd hit piece, this time masquerading as concern for police.

I wonder if they will actually get to the point of suggesting that due to all the pollution police shouldn't practice, or qualify.  Better yet, they may say that because police shouldn't practice of qualify, they shouldn't carry firearms.

I don't think any but the most rabid and confused citizens would think that disarming the police is actually a good idea…and good luck selling that to any police department.

However, all those citizens who may get to the point of wanting to disarm police would always remain free to start their own city somewhere, with their own unarmed police farce…err….force.

It would not at all surprise me if we woke up tomorrow and Seattle had declared that downtown patrols were ordered to carry no more than batons and a taser.

Oddly, it wouldn't surprise me if some citizen actually tried to make that happen…in Seattle, or Portland.

If this part of the article is true;
Amy Crawford was one of five Kirkland officers overexposed to lead in 2007 while training at the Issaquah police range, where the ventilation wasn’t working. “You literally couldn’t see one arm’s length in front of you,”

then those operating the range were completely irresponsible and should have not allowed anyone to use it until the problems were fixed.  Lead poisoning is not a little thing.

Agreed it should have been fixed.....liberals are always whining about more money, and seattle coffers are plenty big....
On the otherhand, if you're training in a hazy, dirty and dingy range where you can't see arms lenght in front of you, you may also qualify for a darwin award

If they couldn't see arms-length in front of them, then were they shooting at arms-length targets, or what?
