Well, I'll come out of hibernation for this one just to save a fellow AZHTF Arfcomer some money. I've had a TREK for a little over a year now mounted on my XM177E2 clone (11.5 barreled full auto). If I had it to do over, I wouldn't buy it again. Although built like the proverbial Brick Shithouse (be aware it's heavy for it's size) I'm not happy with it's sound reduction. I'm now looking for a better (quieter) suppressor for AR/M16 use. Although I don't know which suppressor is better (yet), I think you could do better. So much for post 20,000. C'est la vie.

There's nothing wrong with Gemtech. It's amazing how subjective sound suppression can be. Gemtech seems to be louder to the shooter at times but to the non-shooter they tend to be very quiet.
For an inexpensive can for 7.62 and 5.56, it's hard to beat a Silencerco Specwar 7.62. It's a tank but man that thing is quiet for any caliber below 30. |

Meh, Gemtech doesn't really make anything that doesn't have a better or cheaper option by going with a different manufacturer. They rely a lot on their name when back in the day it was Gemtech, Sionics, or AWC, and they were the only players on the market.

AAC M4-2000 is what I'm going for. Get them for about 600 or less if you really look hard enough.

I just picked up 2 m4-2000s and a NT4, I want a Trek as well a specwar K. A lot of great cans out there. AAC mini4 from cherokee gun and pawn for 399.00 was a nice deal when they had them on GB.
