I read a lot of bad posts about Rural King.  Today I went in for the first time and sort of liked the place - they have everything, plus guns.  The gun prices seemed to be better than Bass Pro or Cabelas I think.....   I bought a S&W tee shirt and a few other miscellaneous items and left.  I think the place is OK....

I don't know what anyone would post bad about them. Their prices seem pretty good for a local place, to me.

I was there today, but didn't but anything gun-related. They have 10% off all guns and ammo right now, but nothing that really interests me enough to buy. Some of the prices are pretty damn good, with the 10% off.

I haven't seen anything bad on them.   I was pleasantly surprised to find a good selection of handguns and Safariland holsters at my local store.

I found the negative posts, they probably aren't worth recycling.

Been to the ones in Fremont and Norwalk.
Didn't see any problems. Nice selection of stuff and prices aren't bad.
Picked up a nice cast iron Dutch oven for the wife. (no pics)
Got a steel ammo can and cheap gun case on sale.

I'd never been to a rural king before a few weeks ago. Was out in Elyria and stopped by that one.

I'm all about it.

I have never bought a gun or anything gun related at one but I have bought tools there and what not.
Seems like a nice store to me.
I don't have one real close by, but maybe 45 minutes away. If I am in that area for something else I tend to go there and look around.

I think it's 12% at the Circleville location. One of the guys that works the gun counter(older guy 50's) is surprisingly knowledgeable about guns and reloading. The other is a Tier 1 douche nozzle.

They have a Chiappa survival rifle which I thought was odd for a big box type store. Nice selection of guns and prices are a hell of a lot better than Gander.

The problem that I have with them is that they will let you handle the display guns, but they are trigger locked and you can NOT feel the trigger pull.

If you decide to purchase one of their firearms, they will get you a fresh one out of the back, and you can   NOT   handle it or check it out for imperfections.

But the clerk will hold it in front of you to look at. Then they escort you out the door with it.  From there on out, the store is NOT responsible for any problems. It becomes a manufacturers problem.

But agreed... Their prices are very good.

The only thing I have against rural king is that I usually buy more than I went into the store for.. we like it there. Ammo cans 9.95 this week for the 50 cal.

Good deal; are those USGI cans or imported cans?
