Yep.  Plain ole, Izzy.  Stripped, rustoleumed, sealed.  Works great.

Is that OD on the metal?

Some think they are ugly, but I'll never trade mine for a StG metal + chickenmitt.

Nope that's just the color of the Izzy park.  It's pretty common with a lot of HRA Garands too.   I like the looks of 'em, but I like the functionality even better.

Muchas Gracias........

The HB is really becoming one of my fave. guns........they are great fun at the range.

I took the Kaps/ Stanag mt. setup off and put an OIP 3.6x on the StG-58.....(pics a few posts up).....and REALLY like it much better. Shoots 1" all day with South African ball...........

I finally got some new pics of my FAL:

Century R1-A1 Sporter. Spray painted with Krylon cammo paint (just to see how it looks, eventually I'll get around to getting some Duracoat/Gunkote or something). A Tapco T28 scope and mount from the EE here, and a "British FAL Bipod" from Sportsman's Guide (mounts on the sling swivel bump instead of the bipod bumps on other FALs).

Here's the view through the scope with the light on:

Woo Hoo!  My illuminator finally arrived:

Here's mine......

All Imbel except for the required US parts. Also, Aimpoint M2 on ARMS mount.

It looks better in real life, my digital camera kinda sucks.

Shoots great. 2 MOA with a 4x scope and Winchester Silver Tips. Runs 100%.

It's the best FAL I've ever owned.

Cheers,

Flyer

My Entrepise Imbel parts build on their type 1 receiver.  I love this FAL, but the furniture will have to go sooner or later.  Shoots great, and it's very accurate.  I think it's my favorite long gun, for now.
