Is there enough room for a reflex suppressor on that thing?

To be more exact, is there 2.5" past the FSP?

With a FSB, you need a 12.5" barrel. With a micro gas block that's only an inch long, you should be able to use an 11.5" barrel according to AAC.

And since it's a pic thread, 10.5 showing clearance.

Where are you guys getting these numbers from?  I can't find that info anywhere.  As for the setup, there is no can yet.  Once the paperwork comes back on that, I will adjust the setup as needed.  I just wanted something to shoot for now.

Now back to your regularly scheduled picture thread...

I am asking, (because it looks like it based solely on the pictures, if there is 2.5" of free barrel past the FSP.

He was stating what many have before, that a SPR/M4 can will not fit on an 11.5" barrel with a FSP.

I don't disagree, but the pictures play optic al illusions on my mind. "Looks" liek there is enough room.

So i finally got some time off and took my Adams Arms 7.5 into the wild to play.

I used 55grain FMJ XM193, I only got to one 30 round magazine as I played with my LWRC most afternoon. No issues what so ever. The barrel was not that hot after rapid succession firing, minutes later I was able to grasp it with no burn.

I did not have ear protection and this is much louder than a 16" barrel, the only comparisson I have.

I would say it sounded like a short bark like a 308.

Now I have to get her to a 25yard range and get her properly zerod.

Good to hear. I was thinking about putting one on my 10.5" but wasn't sure if it'd make it too ass heavy.

You win the thread.  I'm too chicken shit to put an A2 on my SBR because I keep thinking I'll want to put an optic on it.

That it is.   So light I can't get it to register on my bathroom scale.  I'm going to have to find a small digital scale to get a reading.

I already had the A2 and it wasn't getting used so I said eh, why not?  Make it an old school build.

I can always buy another upper with a flat top to bling out.  Plus this has got me hooked, I'll likely SBR a couple more lowers now and have them set up in a variety of ways.

If you want an accurate weight, hold it while you step on your scale and subtract the difference of you without the rifle.  Do it with a full mag also.  That'll probably only be 6-7lbs difference...

Definately. Ask me about how I have to leave the TV or a fan on to sleep because I have a constant ringing in my left ear. I'm not your dad, do what you want. But I promise it will catch up to you. I always thought the worst that would happen would be dimished hearing. Boy do I wish I had that instead of this ringing.

yes indeed, and the reason for building it.  6.5 hits sooooooooo much harder than 5.56 and i think its the perfect "intermediate" cartridge between the 223 and 308 without the extra weight that a 308 AR runs.

Nice rifle buddy –– I'm really digging the way you have your stock set up.  Also good to know that someone out there has a longer wait time than me.  I submitted my paperwork in early May.
