Could be the best digi/ACU pattern I've seen.  Great job.

What colors did you use? They don't look like the DC ACU colors...

Thanks fellas - actually they are the standard DC ACU colors...here are some pics of the process...and a couple indoor/outdoor photos.  I've since gone with the Magpul Foliage Green AFG, MOE grip as well as rail covers.  Color may seem "off" a bit in the pics, but they match very well with the ACU color/pattern.
Always get asked about the "flecks," and how I did them to blend it all together - After all the layers were finished, removed all the templates and used the lightest color of the 3.  Using the airbrush just quickly & repeatedly "flick" the trigger  with your index finger from about 16"-20" away (test it out on some cardboard first) and it'll spit out the paint....keep flicking until you get the desired coverage  Finished it off with Duracoat matte.

And this is the most recent pic - about 600 rounds later...a little bit of finish wear (mag release/deflector), but shes the workhorse of the bunch.

Got a great deal from SGCUSA on a cosmetic blemished FNH TPS and they offer a military discount which made it around $350. Spent about that much accessorizing it, so I've got about $700 into this one. Not too bad considering thats about the going rate for them stock
FNH TPS:
-Enidine Shock Stock
-Magpul ACS FDE with Enhanced Buttpad
-Magpul MOE Grip FDE
-TacStar Side Saddle
-Metal refinished with Brownells Alumahyde II Coyote and Flat Black
Sorry for the cell phone pictures, forgot the digital camera.

Thanks. I pretty much only use the Duracoat tactical colors. The main ones that I use are; coyote, FDE, woodland brown and OD and then mix a combination thereof to get a blend I need or someone wants.

Went to Michael's  and got fake plants. I used the same leaf, using the tip or one side. Never the entire leaf. Then just criss-crossed the layers.

MT those mags look cool. Maybe I've been out of the loop but I've never heard of using RIT Dye like this before. I will probably get a bunch of crap for not searching the site first but is there a tutorial out there somewhere? I'd like to learn more about this.

I don't know how to make a link hot but M4Carbine.net has a thread on it.  I found it originally by looking at a picture thread here.  A member dyed his mags and funiture to match his DD rail and Spikes lower.  This is the thread.

It's all Remington.  This is a stock version of the 870 that comes with the extension.

Here's a new Savage I just finished. The barreled action and parts are done in Brownell's Teflon-Moly bake on finish and the scope and stock are done in Aluma-Hyde II. Sorry for the crappy pictures. The colors are Coyote over OD green.

Here's my latest project, an M1A.  I KG gunkoted it in OD and black for better corrosion resistance.  At my house, he air is so wet and salty that mold grows on glass, and aluminum will ozidize to nothing in a matter of months.  so I KG all my guns.

Rit dye? The fabric coloring powder? That's a mazing

Do a post submission on your process. your technique in coloring plastic will advance us all.

Do you preheat the plastic? how long do you soak it? Does the color of the plastic matter?  How deep does the color penetrate the plastic, Do you follow the mixing procedures on the box? Do you use vinegar to set it? How's the clean up? What's the durability?  etc...

Not really my technique.  There have been lots of guys using rit dye on plastics.  I got all of my information here.  I have two stocks for my MSAR E4 on a UPS truck right now.  I was thinking of doing a step by step when i do the.
